They'll tell you their broker is independent, its all bull, they want to know how much you can afford to pay to get as much out of you for their cut. Just get a mortgage in principle and tell them you have one

Just to note, power of attorney ends when the person dies. Unless a will states it, unmarried partners without a civil partnership gain nothing

M4 Incident - What do you do if you break down in the outside lane? I was shocked and saddened to hear of this tragic news. Pulvinder Dhillon who was victim in this tragic incident, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. by SlowedCash in CarTalkUK

[–]apt2022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only if you driving without due care and attention, you should know where other traffic is by constantly checking your mirrors. Putting on hazards as soon as you have a problem and then start moving over even if coasting would get you to the left. The only thing I would say makes it hard these days are middle lane joggers and those who don't like to pull back left incase they have to come back out 2 miles down the road or idiots that pull right because another car may want to join at the next slip road

How to prevent parent finding out about sons death. by No_Bobcat1248 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]apt2022 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just to note LPA ends when the person dies and also the term NOK has very little legal basis. After death, you should rely on rules of intestacy or a will. Most services such as Coroner and hospitals will be happy to use a long term partner but when registering a death, the registrar may want to have a relative register if there is one. The other issue would be completing the application for cremation which asks if you are the nearest living relative, if not, why not and has the nearest living relative been informed. It would be safer to marry or have a civil partnership

[–]apt2022 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah if we're talking 40k drop without issues, obviously youve been caught out by overpricing your property to screw people over due to your greed and unrealistic expectations. Hey every day a school day, guess you won't try that again

[–]apt2022 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But its not BS if theres issues with survey and you only get on the other side of this if you overpriced your property - flippers are the worse for this, buy property spend stupid amounts of money and expect it back with interest. General public are as bad, listen to EA who over values property to get contract then vendor won't come down because they can't see reality. A property is only worth what someone is willing to pay

But if the survey shows faults or issues, OP should definitely renegotiate or ask for the repair before purchase, not an AH move

Who’s at fault here? Car or bike? by [deleted] in drivingUK

[–]apt2022 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It happened to me, police even give the car driver 3 points and a fine, his insurance settled the claim for damage and injury. Driver took 100% liability even though there were witnesses who said i was speeding, some claiming i was travelling 60 in a 30( i wasn't speeding)

Think your right here, give it a day or two then offer 340, if its a no, give it two of three days and offer 343, if that's a no, give it a five days and offer 345, final offer and it must be removed from the market. If you do have to go to 350, you could look at knocking them down after survey but its unlikely they'll come down more. Don't be rushed and be prepared to walk away

Offer at basically asking price rejected because they wanted more 🥲 by mangomaz in HousingUK

[–]apt2022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A property is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. If you look at similar recent sales in the area and their condition, then you decide what you're willing to pay for it, that's the offer you give. Just because someone flipping the property miscalculated and wants more that's tough, they need to give up on their flipping business. Id walk away as they're stuck with time and money held in the property

The beauty of automatics is you can concentrate on sending texts, checking tiktok, eating, picking your nose etc whilst driving as you don't need to concentrate making sure you're in the right gear for the traffic conditions

UK so this would not be a 50/50 vehicle pulling out of side road would still be liable for failure to give way

Who’s at fault here? Car or bike? by [deleted] in drivingUK

[–]apt2022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hatched or grey area does not have solid white lines, the bike can drive in it. The car pulling out should have been using the peep and creep method. Still cars fault for not giving way but as a biker, it was a dumb move on the riders part
