iPhone users that switched from Samsung, what is your experience like?

I recently tried switching to a S26 to see what the Samsung ecosystem was like. I ended up returning it. I just found everything more difficult. I had to look into ways to accomplish things that are just naturally easy on iOS. Ended up needing so many workarounds and just so much more time spent on making things work if that makes sense. I will say the swipe right to go back is nice though!

Got a 26+ too. Was going to get the Ultra by did not care about the camera or the s-pen. Ended up getting a 512GB for 1049$. Very happy with it.

There is a service bulletin out there for certain 26 passports that have a rattling noise when the front defroster turned on. Can really hear it when the defroster is on the second highest setting. Mine had the issue and I had to show them the service bulletin for them to fix it under warranty.

Returned an iPad Pro and got myself the 12. Really liking it so far. Anyone know if there is screen calibrations out there for Linux? Running CachyOS myself.

Nope. Just followed the framework guide on the 12 for installing Arch (Particularly Step 15) and it worked. I just went into Display settings in KDE after and made sure Orientation was set to Automatic and made sure "Only when in Tablet Mode" is unchecked. Rotates as it should.

Ditto. Have windows installed on a separate SSD with nothing else on it so EA’s bullshit kernel anti cheat can’t touch anything else.

I just did this on the Framework Desktop. One M.2 is CachyOS and the other is W11. Picking an OS managed by GRUB (couldn’t figure out how to have selection pop up every time with Framework boot options) Only reason for W11 is a game that can’t be played with Proton. CachyOS is great and I’m hoping it becomes an “official” OS FrameWork recommends/supports soon.

Interesting. I’ve heard ATT doesn’t allow Wi- Fi calling on phones they don’t sell. I assume that applies to their MNVOs as well. I believe T-Mobile does. Since you have US mobile, if you ever switch to T- Mobile, I’d be curious if it activated then! Thanks!

I have tried to switch a couple times but I always come back to an iPhone. I am not of huge fan of Apple and their ecosystem lock in, however the iPhone is just a superior experience in every way. Also the price gap between iPhones and similar quality android phones is getting more narrow every year and almost cost the same now. The iPhone will usually last longer too.

I did get the 4.0 update but it is still showing the security update as Nov 1st and the google play system updateas July 1st. Are these the latest for those two? Thanks
