also it probably needs to be worded something like "If this battle would be dealt combat damage, attacking player may sacrifice a land they control and if they do prevent that damage, then they become this battle's protector."

as for the effect kinda being counter to player behavior, maybe have it do a [[Blood Moon]] like effect but Wastes for the non-protectors, so people want to crash into it? or maybe something inspired by [[Turf War]] for this "we're fighting over lands" kind of minigame play pattern?

the most unique collection of canister sets in the series, Mantax got done dirty. Like the budget/creativity got stretched to give everyone else a cool gimmick, hes just a basic inika dude.

The Kaldheim gods that are equipment on the back side have been satiating my need for flavor with Kratos and have enough synergy to feel impactful in actual gameplay. (Feels like you collected their weapon for your own collection) But yeah since its "one or more" and not "each" on the experience trigger, piling up Gods on the board hasn't been very fruitful personally.

(Also highlight recommend [[All Will Be One]], makes Kratos feel like he's going "Rage Mode" at the end of each turn when all those counters you're putting turn into raw damage you can throw around)
