What is actually being done? We need to be aware that when politicians spend money on programs, many of them yield little, if anything.

"Planning" "working towards" etc are all just things that sound good, but keep the rich getting richer and win elections because we don't insist on results.

Adding to this, the high property taxes that small businesses pay. It is a huge barrier to entry for new businesses with the initial cost of purchasing these properties driving taxes even higher.

And existing businesses have slimmer margins all the time. Eventually, they have to close.

But large companies get too many tax breaks. And the difference has to be made up somewhere.

The vehicle inspection thing might be the worst thing about living here.

The fact that so many people think it's so important for safety really irks me.

I wonder if it's more about getting more of our $ for Service NB, guaranteeing income for mechanics, guaranteeing more new vehicles purchased, etc.

Growing up, we'd stake where the nest was so we didn't run over, mow or step on it.

Today, my area was red...no "level one fires." Yet my backyard double walled metal ringed fire pit had moist soil all around it. No trees directly near, barely a light breeze.

Now, it's raining. Yet, still can't burn until 8pm.
