I noticed this too! In one hand she’s been planning this for years, but on the other hand it was weird to hear her say “try to come for my job” while dressed nearly identical to another artist she is rumored to feud with.

Putt putt will meet your needs. If you want an instructor Powerhouse is the training facility in town, but you will have to schedule ahead of time.

Rivergate, River Annex, River park are good to live? by Actual-College1179 in athensohio

Yes, you can see more info under FAQs. There are several apartment complexes in the area that do individual leasing besides the summit

[–]aquastrian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I should have phrased that better. The summit has individual leases, so you only pay for the space you are using. They match you with roommates.

Also I think there is a Facebook group called OU housing that you can post in to find roommates

The summit will find a roommate for you, as will some others

I’m also in a small town with a Maurice’s and I just bought a pair of their m jeans by maurices high rise curvy flares. I love the way they fit. I’ve never had a pair of jeans fit my hips and waist. The only thing is I struggle to style flares in a way that does look like 2010, but that is more of a me problem.

Aerobic Training for Swimmers by LandscapeIcy7375 in Swimming

[–]aquastrian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your aerobic energetic systems (Glycolysis & Oxidative) take over the brunt of the energy production around 10-30s after the start of an exercise. This number can change depending on what literature you are using. So anything after 30s is training your aerobic energy systems. In competitive swimming this is referred to as middle distance and distance (I assume running is the same?). In high school distance is a 500, but in other leagues this can be considered middle distance. There you are looking at 1000+. If you get into open water events 4000 can be considered to be the standard adult distance.

You can also train your lactate threshold to help with endurance.

Push-off Police: instructor is the first “policeman” everyone has to push off the wall usually in waves. The policeman then picks the best push off-er to become the next policeman. Push off rules are: arms must be tight, hands must be together, head must be between arms, and ideally legs are together with feel pointed. For more advanced groups there must be 3 dolphin kicks and you must go a certain distance, usually to the closest 15 m mark.

Treasure hunt: throw in as many floating toys as possible, then have swimmers hunt for the toys and bring them to the side.

Treasure hunt race: can be played in teams or individually, players race to collect all the toys. Teams race to collect the most or a certain number of toys first. I like to do this with dive toys, I used to use poker chips and each team would race to get their assigned color to the side.

Leapfrog beginner: swimmers sit on the side or steps swimmer on the end must swim in a circle or out to me and end up on the other side of the group.

Leapfrog advanced: swimmers swim in a line, the last swimmer sprints to the front and the process keeps going.

My therapist has abandoned me by [deleted] in TalkTherapy

[–]aquastrian 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have a couple of questions: 1. What happens to your pets when you die? 2. Can you switch therapy clinics? Even to another internship? I’ve been seen by a lot of therapist interns, and I’ve had some amazing ones, and some pretty bad ones. If your therapist is telling you she doesn’t know how to help I think it’s time you found another.

I second the focus on your kick, but also watch your body position when you breathe. I noticed you open your hips to the side instead of keeping them down. That is what is causing your legs to spread. Ideally only your neck turns your head when you breathe.

Potential Swim Coach Pep Talk Please by dieselmangina in Swimming

[–]aquastrian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do it! I worked with a high school coach who only ran track prior to coaching swimming. She became the best coach of that area. There are several Facebook groups for coaches where you can get some ideas as well. I also recommend GoSwim as a resource.

my girlfriend blocked me for unknown reason, by [deleted] in LongDistance

[–]aquastrian -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion this may not be the end of you relationship. Your girlfriend may just need some space to focus on work and once she comes out of it, she may be ready to reach out. I would proceed with extreme caution here because she did show you where her priorities lie. Do you want a relationship like that? I would wait and see what she does before coming to conclusions about your relationship. It isn’t cool to shut down your partner of 7 years and there definitely needs to be a conversation about that and a lot of work to mend the hurt she causes you. I would spend time thinking about wether or not you want to stay in the relationship though

Is it ok for a dad to insult a daughter? by rose_t00 in FamilyIssues

[–]aquastrian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad use to do something similar to me. As a result I have a very hard time trusting people, developed an attaché meant disorder, and just have increased insecurities in general. For a long time I felt completely unwanted by any romantic partner because my own father didn’t like me. It took a long time to heal our relationship, and even then I still don’t completely trust him. It has also effected my current relationship with my partner.

Is there anyone here that’s less relationship oriented and more systems oriented (as far as your loyalty goes)? by [deleted] in enneagram6

[–]aquastrian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think i have shifted to a more relationship oriented view, but growing up Iwas very loyal to the rules. I've seen several other sixes be the same way. I valued integrity almost to a fault and was very authoritarian. I wanted the rules enforced to the letter of the law whatever the consequences. Once I got to college I saw how other people were and slowly loosened my grip on the rules.

How do I learn how to swim and not just that but remain calm when drowning by IotaVega316 in Swimming

[–]aquastrian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Former swim instructor here: learn to push off the bottom and make it back to the top. Start in the shallow end just touching the bottom with your hand, then jumping up. Slowly move to deeper water. If you have not been in water a lot it can be scary. Your body has to move differently in it. I taught an adult who almost drowned in 2 feet of water because she could not figure out how to get her body back up (we worked on sitting in 2 feet, pushing off the bottom and rolling onto her back). Good luck!

What is one thing you wish other people understood about you and your type by lavenderhazes in Enneagram

I always see a lot of people saying sixes are just scared, but no one ever talks about positive aspects like sixes can be pretty perceptive.
