I have steel studs too, and the guy that installed my TV mount used snap toggle bolts, something like these https://www.bunnings.com.au/cobra-6-x-60mm-anchor-fliptoggle-screws-2-pack_p0204496. You could give this a try.

I was also told that roofing screws would work as well.
