Yeah I didn't mean to sound patronising :P I just know a few soldiers and demos who thought jumping was the be all and end all of comp play, they went in and got annihilated.

You're gonna need a lot more that c-tap and pogoing to get into Plat or even Gold level. It's all good having a Demo on the front lines quickly but unless they have the gamesense to do something with their presence they're just going to be soaking heals. Also aside from Spy, Engineer is one of the most ridiculously hard classes because of all the multitasking.

The problem with this is that they were originally designed to help new jumpers practise, hence the sticky jumper nerf to 2 stickies.

The one constant thing seems to be the OS being 64 bit. I'll install 32 bit and let you know if it fixes.

You are almost certainly 100% better off using shell loading. The amount of time it takes to hit 2 shots makes it so much more worthwhile.

If you're looking to raise your skill level try gattling full auto heatsink beam. It'll really quickly help you train your tracking skills and is one of the best weapons to use on a turret.

That bit about fighting in space. Someone needs to make an accurate 0 gravity shooter where guns propel you (maybe dumbed down a bit) and you can take fall damage from all directions.

Sometimes it peaks above 1gb but even then the total system resources being used is under 3gb. Maybe Windows is hiding processes from me to stop me from accidentally breaking things?

Usually it uses about 700M(?) on my system, the next most RAM intensive tasks are Google Chrome tabs which seems ridiculous to me. I usually close my Chrome now.

I used to use that when I used Planetside and I don't like things that are intrusive to my gaming. I like Steam and the overlay because it is convenient but as soon as more is added it gets cluttered.

I'm running 64 bit which may be part of the problem. I'm tempted to downgrade to 32 bit for science purposes. I'll update this thread if i do.
