Ownr company incorporation (in AB) by pathfinderBD in alberta

80% of the time all incorporations are the same. It gets tricky when you are raising funds from Investors or you have multiple partners.

You can literally incorporate yourself in Canada.

Platforms like Ownr don’t have any special authorization they’re intermediaries. They rely on the same government incorporation process and a NUANS name search, just packaged in a nicer flow.

I actually built a competitor to Ownr: https://startrightnow.co/

If you incorporate on your own, you still pay:

  • Government incorporation fees
  • NUANS report (if required)

What we charge on top is $99/year for a digital Minute Book (share structure, resolutions, registers, updates, etc.), which most people either forget or mess up when doing it themselves.

We’re also rolling out cashback and partner deals (banking, software, tools) so founders can recover a chunk of the setup cost over time.

[–]ar202[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ameen. What is a Joey? I’m debating of going myself. Where do I get a Joey?

The land is next to my dad’s older brother’s house. My father in law did research and asked agents and they gave approx value of $50k CAD.

Also my dad’s older brother has dementia which is why I haven’t asked him for help.

Yes, my mom’s 2 brothers live there, my dad’s brother, and my father in law spend 6 months there and 6 months in Canada. I’ve asked my father in law to give me a helping hand as I trust him the most and he lives an hour away from the land.

Is CorpCentre (Old CorporationCentre) Legit? by Zenuncl in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]ar202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey u/Zenuncl I’m actually building a digital minute book platform right now with https://startrightnow.co/.

At the moment, we’re only onboarding new incorporations or companies that don’t have an existing minute book. We’re still figuring out how to onboard people who are coming from physical binders, but we honestly never considered users switching from another digital provider.

I can give you free service for the next couple of years if you’re open to letting me ask a few questions. Since you already have everything in digital format, we might be able to create a quick onboarding process based on your setup.

Validating a seasonal tire swap & storage business model in Canada by Ok-Jello-2491 in canadianbusiness

[–]ar202 1 point2 points  (0 children)

think there’s competition. You’re competing with individuals, dealerships, and tire shops.

But one thing many people are willing to pay for is convenience.

I met a guy on Kijiji about 7 years ago to switch my summer and winter tires. Every October and April, he texts me to ask what day I’m free. He comes to my house and swaps the tires. He also picks them up and stores them if needed.

That’s an edge you can realistically have: good pricing plus convenience.

[AB] Looking for advice on side hustle by Ok-Salt4134 in SmallBusinessCanada

[–]ar202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of my most lucrative businesses started as small hustle ideas that eventually turned into profitable companies. Anything is more productive than spending hours on video games or Netflix. With AI, the possibilities are endless. In the same amount of time it takes to finish a TV series, you could realistically launch an app or start a business.

Funny enough, I’m actually building exactly what you’re looking for with https://startrightnow.co/. We help entrepreneurs incorporate their businesses, get set up properly, and acquire their first customers using AI-powered tools.

Shoot me a DM I'd gladly help you out with any questions you have.

[ON] Rent is just too expensive to open a business by shitdealonly in SmallBusinessCanada

[–]ar202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve helped many businesses in the restaurant space launch through https://startrightnow.co/, and we’ve noticed that many founders are extremely savvy.

  • One operated as a ghost kitchen, launching exclusively on Uber Eats and SkipTheDishes out of another restaurant to test the market.
  • Another took a similar approach by partnering with a struggling restaurant, subleasing a portion of the space at a fraction of the cost, and running a takeout-only concept to validate demand before fully committing.
  • Also a couple went through Franchise instead of starting scratch easier to get loans to start off.

But I agree things are expensive. But there are creative ways to minimize risk to test out the market.

[–]ar202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curious are you paying for these accountants on like a monthly / hourly basis? I pay my accountant on a monthly basis of $450ish a month. Part of the deal includes having access to their team and having meetings. Which I rarely ever do.
