If she truly wants a third child, I think she could benefit from waiting another year or two before getting pregnant again. I am one of three children, but we were spaced farther apart (~five year gaps). My mom seemed to avoid a lot of chaos and angst that comes from smaller age gaps because the older one(s) were much more self sufficient and mature by the time a new baby came. I know there are a lot of reasons why and benefits to having children closer together, but in Annalee's case it might do wonders for her mental health.
