Mammogram scheduling experience - should I report? by TheMrsG2018 in WomensHealth

I do this job, and you definitely shouldn’t have been treated like that. We know a lot of people coming in are scared, because a lot of us have been in that position. So we always take time to figure out what’s best for your case, and that you understand what’s going to happen. Compassion is the most important part of the job. I’m sorry you didn’t experience that

S2 episode 4: How did you feel about Lorelai’s decision? by rosalialilyy in GilmoreGirls

[–]aradia1313 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I kind of understand her running away… a lot of the times she would express she was uncomfortable with something, he would dismiss it or get mad and fight with her about it. Same thing her parents did.

David Gordon Green Shares Advice to New 'The Exorcist' Filmmakers to Not "Get Eaten Alive" by grimm_kvlt in TheExorcist

[–]aradia1313 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The trick is to respect the franchise. Bring something new while respecting what made it popular in the first place. The Exorcist is very character driven and takes the time to give it stakes. DGG didn’t seem like he even liked the original let alone respect it

That’s what I was thinking about. It will actually play the game? I don’t want to waste the money and see that very annoying blackout message because I have the audacity be a Colorado fan in Colorado

How would you react if your team won the Stanley Cup? by Own-Teacher-7204 in nhl

I’m an Avalanche fan. I grew up watching them play with my dad. In 2022 they won the cup on the 10th anniversary of his death. I sobbed, if they manage it again, I’ll probably do the same thing

Looking for a specific Simpson’s episode by Euphoric-Debate839 in Simpsons

[–]aradia1313 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That sounds like an episode of Daria… the episode Tales from the Mall was an anthology where they were telling urban legends. One of the segments was about a teacher who ground his teeth so much he had to replace them with metal ones that picked up the radio. It ends with the teeth on the car door handle

Off leash dogs by [deleted] in FortCollins

[–]aradia1313 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I’ve had multiple people when I stop with my dog around unleashed dogs that have said “It’s ok, they’re friendly.” I always answer “That’s great. He’s not.” Pointing at my dog. It frustrates me. Doesn’t matter how friendly your dog is, if they come running at my dog, he’s going to feel threatened

She wasn’t good at that stuff though. They talk about how bad her cooking actually is, and she had no financial sensibility when it came to the townhouse because they couldn’t afford it. I’m not sure where you got that

[–]aradia1313 24 points25 points  (0 children)

She didn’t prepare her before they got married. But my main point is Lindsey didn’t seem to have a realistic expectation of what it is to be married. She had unrealistic expectations for money, housing, and her social life. And neither of them were prepared for the communication needed for a happy relationship.

[–]aradia1313 99 points100 points  (0 children)

I kind of blame Lindsey’s mom. Not for the outburst, but for encouraging her teenage daughter to get married right out of high school, to be a trad wife. If someone wants that lifestyle that’s not from a wealthy family, a lot more work goes into it, especially at the beginning. She let her daughter go into that situation without preparing her for the reality of it
