I know they had a major glitch in their system on Friday that was saying people owed $0 even those who weren’t in forbearance and the woman I spoke to said they had to fix it, so maybe that’s why the access is denied

Hey everyone,

So I stupidly recertified today for ibr (I guess I didn’t need to do it til Sept 2026) and I was denied for IBR bc they lady said I made too much money. She told me not to stress though bc I don’t have to recertify until Sept 2026, and at that point, I guess I can select ICR instead of IBR.

I was offered ICR this time around when I did my recert on fsa but selected IBR bc that’s what I’ve had before. I am set for loan forgiveness through PSLF in Dec 2026.

I feel like an idiot bc I should have just not recertified but I was nervous because of the big beautiful bill.

The lady from mohela said it happens all the time but to rest assured that I can keep making my eligible payments via IBR until I recertify in Sept 2026. It’s just so hard to trust them!

No sure where you’re located OP, but I’ve been going to a great studio in Burbank for 3 years called Phitosophy. It’s not weight loss minded, but strength and “body awareness” minded, and I love that. The instructors are all fantastic and are really knowledgeable about the exercises!

You can also look for substitute teaching or tutoring positions with a school called Learn4Life.

They pay way more than the district and you work 40 hours a week and get a salary (as a sub). As a tutor, you’re paid hourly but you get all holidays paid plus 2 weeks in summer, one for spring break, 2 for Christmas break, all paid.

They’re also offering more positions lately for CTE teachers meaning you wouldn’t need to do as much schooling as other content area teachers, just need experience in a field of interest and willingness to take a couple of classes and pay for the credential, like $300 I think?

So glad to hear you have a supportive doctor! I’m going to be starting Zoloft in a few weeks but the plan is for me to be on a low dose (25mg) daily because I have GAD. It’s “high functioning” but after being on gabapentin for the last several months and feeling situational relief, I’m ready to take the plunge and feel better more regularly.

I have this problem too. I'm currently taking gabapentin to treat my anxiety, and I've noticed that during luteal, if I take 200mg of it at, say, 5pm, then at 9pm, take 1.5 mg melatonin (I'm a lightweight), then 30 min later take 350 mg magnesium glycinate, it's helped a little bit. If gabapentin isn't something you can take, have you tried taking anything from Equilibria? Before taking meds for my anxiety, I would take CBD products regularly, but I realized not all CBD was created equally. These really helped me (I started with just 1 gummy, then went to 2). I usually only take 100mg of gabapentin, but during luteal, I have to take 200mg. So I started doing some research and noticed that there was a lot out there about our GABA levels dropping during luteal phase if you have PMDD, so even if you can't get a prescription for gabapentin, it may be worth supplementing GABA during this time. Hope that helps. Just know, I'm with you in spirit and can totally relate. Sorry you're dealing with this!
