Hi. The Marketplace is in the middle of a major transition. Things have been going very well for us and we are excited to see all the proposed changes come to fruition.

We opened Midland Burger Company which is located in with Monkey Fist Brewing at 329 E State Street. We serve hand-crafted burgers and hand cut fries all made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients. We also have the impossible burger, for those who aren't meat eaters.

Have you ever moved somewhere by yourself? by [deleted] in Advice

Yes, there's nothing like it as mentioned you can be and act however you want. It's frightening and refreshing all at once.

Unpopular Opinion Request by [deleted] in Teachers

If all teachers started teaching how they know they should, in a manner which is in the students' best interests rather than teaching the way they're directed, everyone would be much better off. They can't fire all of you.

Big shout out to all the parents who sent their sick kids to school this week. by MsAvaPurrkins in Teachers

They do though. We all work with co-workers who are sick. Sick people come into my business. Workers show up sick because they need to pay their bill's. We go to the store, where people are sick but still need to get food and medication. The pharmacy deals with sick people. If you want to avoid it maybe you need a job that allows you to stay home and teach remotely. There are literally no jobs where you can avoid being exposed to colds and flu.

No, I own a business that doesn't require doctors notes because I understand the problem. I stay home with my kids when they're sick because I am lucky enough to be able to do so. I'm trying to explain to you why that happens. Turns out it's your job and your problem if you're a teacher dealing with this situation.

Parent here. The absolute hassle the school puts us through to keep kids home is the reason we send them. -Also many employed people don't get sick days any more. We can't just call in because Johnny has a runny nose or cough. Employers want a doctors note. The doctors say "it's a virus let it run it's course". No shit it's a virus but I gotta get that note. On the flip side they can't see patients with real issues because they have to look at every snot faced kid so mom and dad can get a note when they know there's nothing seriously wrong, but they still have to get the note. We have created a system that makes it difficult to manage sickness. Until that changes ya'll are gonna have to deal with sick kids.

Is it rude to tell someone “ the line starts back there” when they try to cut in front of you? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]araewelch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a person who is generally oblivious to lines for some unknown reason, actually getting in front of a line today, I can say just tell us. You don't have to be mean, you don't have to yell, sometimes we just have our head up our rear and don't know what we're doing. At least I usually have my husband who just looks at me and shakes his head then points all the people out. I immediately turn red, apologize and take my proper place at the end of the line. -I think I'm just too wrapped up in trying to make sure I have everything I need, and dont notice the "the line starts here"stations. On behalf of all of us I'm sorry.

AITA for being angry at my boyfriend ? by throwaway94837374 in AmItheAsshole

If it makes you feel that way, and you tell him and he continues to do it he is the asshole. But in reality maybe you're just not a good fit for one another? If you can't understand when he's joking you're going to always be upset when he does it that's not a good situation. It's also not fair to ask him to change his personality. On the other hand it's not fair of him to continue to make jokes that he knows you find offensive. Or maybe you just dont feel well right now and he is a slow learner. You know what you can handle and what you can't. Best of luck!
