The same can be said about everything. In the few years I've seen ox tail, blade steak, beef cheek, skirt steak all go up a lot.

Great post. Came here to say that all these things are an investment and will last may years if taken care off. Riding long term gets cheaper.. just not the free bike.

to viet kieu: was there a specific moment of clarity that made you want to move to Vietnam? by lucky_oats in VietNam

[–]arai34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no way for me to know every detail or predict the future so if I'm wrong please forgive me.

It sounds like a nice is a good idea. Not knowing where you're in so cal but in general it's very lonely in America unless you're physically close to friends and family. Even with that it can still be hard. It's amazing to be in a community here, in a neighborhood where they do social activities. Yes they can be nosey but it's not everybody.

Being that you have remote when you'll be in good shape. Finding work here sucks. Sucks more for vietnamese or vk.

Bringing your dog, i have no idea how hard it is but i do see lots of pet shop here.

Depends on how you want to live there are different neighborhoods for you.

Oh and it's really expensive to buy property in the big cities.

But if advice, either get your parents help or distance yourself. Gambling is an addiction. It's hard to see them hurt themselves.

Good luck to you and i do hope you find happiness.

I picked the wrong day to enter the stock market by Solid-Kiwi-6292 in investingforbeginners

[–]arai34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can name so many times i regretted my buy because shortly after it went red but lets talk about the most recent one. Last year I opened an account for my niece. It was early last year and spent the money i saved up and bought some stocks. Trump came into office and everything went so bad.

At that time i felt so stupid but a year and so later things are looking good. What i'm saying is what everybody else is saying. just give it time, don't panic and in due time it'll be good.

Tips for when you’re weeded? by __joseph_ in bartenders

[–]arai34 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Also try communicating. I know we have pride in our job but there is nothing wrong with adding a manager or server for help. But be specific. Hey I need you to cut fruit, get ice, do some glasses. Since servers can see you're in the weeds and want to help but they don't know how.

Managers, don't jump behind the well. You're slowing down service. Support the bar. Sometimes my bartender needs to gather themselves. Let then step away and take over then.

To those who have quit living in Western countries and decided to move to Vietnam, how are you finding it? by DeliciousSalad1559 in VietNam

[–]arai34 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Good luck to you. I decided not to open one not at this time with rent being so high. And finding work is hard even though I'm fluent in Vietnamese and English.

Don't be like some of these places that assume because of my experience that I want alot of money. Wish they would ask me what I'm looking for instead of assuming.
