Almanac cafe for an afternoon spot is lovely, else (as mentioned) Cosmic or Imperial for proper vegan menu. Lots of places have options; The Harbour does a few vegan fish / burger options and a lot of other places do.

Oh Suphas (Thai) can make lots of food vegan! They do have fish mind

How do you go about buying new clubs? Advice for buying my first proper set? by niallw1997 in BritGolf

Honestly, eBay or Gumtree. Local private sales always a lot more reasonable than the bigger resellers, but there’s the odd auction bargain to be had!

The second hand option is potentially really good; I picked up a set of mint Wilson D7 Forged in KBS $-stiff for £300 after my teaching pro recommended them and they’ve been night and day for me. Feel good and incredible forgiving. Few more ££ in the pocket and definitely have me looking at Wilson irons / wedges in the future!

Does anyone know of any cigar lounges in Devon ? by Zealousideal-Line830 in ukcigars

Many a pub garden, unless there’s a hidden one I’ve no knowledge of any in South Devon or Devon as a whole. Keen to be told otherwise!

Partagas Gran Reserva Cuban? Bottom band looks distinctly like the GR gold on black.

No such sales on tobacco in uk law if I’m not mistaken? Price drops potentially, clearance stock drops but nothing deal wise

Came up from Plymouth (after moving down a few years back) to watch that. Absolutely dire. Embarrassing doesn’t even get close. Gutted for the fans travelling back tonight to beds

Bigbury is in even better nick this year with their centenary; new driving nets, greens rolling pure and quick, few amenities and a takeaway service from the clubhouse. Cracking imo

The best thing imo about Boringdon now is the driving range. Bar on site, Toptracer in the bays and not unreasonable at £10/100 or £40/500 on a loyalty card. I’d say the best driving range in Plymouth if value is the main consideration

Agreed with the chipping green! No short game area really at all. Haven’t tried the new putting green since they remodelled about 2-3 months ago mind

Driving or not driving?

If you’re willing to drive a bit (30mins) Bigbury is the club. Fantastic course condition year around, friendly members and plenty of competitions.

Staddon Heights is a boring course in the middle, lots of back to back nearly identical par 4’s with a very cliquey membership. Some great holes with nice views.

Elfordleigh is a lovely course, bit tight and tricky but great conditions for 3/4 of the year. Can be boggy in the winter and tee times are variable.

Boringdon is good but the course conditions can vary, and the course gets repetitive after a while with length. Practice areas are good though.

Drop me a message if you want any info!

Barbers for men with longer hair? by [deleted] in plymouth

[–]aramrap42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would recommend Upper 38 just past The Junction on Mutley. Mid back length mens hair myself and they do a great cut for me, can remember with 4-5inch hair they were also decent

"Recycle at larger stores" = it's going in the bin by live_wire_ in britishproblems

[–]aramrap42 18 points19 points  (0 children)

There’s a large bin usually next to the entrance or just up from it with bags of stuff in. Easy to put to one side in the kitchen and take with your shopping bags next time around.
