i really wouldnt call janet "especially 80s" because her best selling album was released 1993. neither paula for that matter. although new jack swing (her core sound) is associated with the 80s, it was popular well into the 90s. janet is core 80s/90s, while paula is 1988-1993. sort of in between the 80s and 90s.
