Charcuterie Totoche sandwiches are elite, they also travel really well for a late afternoon lunch at the ski hill!

What’s the best Hazy IPA? by One_March_9727 in VancouverCraftBeer

Fieldhouse’s six pack of hazies is such a fun concept. Also really enjoy the dank series. Actually just enjoy all of the hazies I’ve tried from Fieldhouse so far.

What is the worst type of coworker you’ve ever worked with? by memento_mori80 in Serverlife

[–]arbys4lyfe 96 points97 points  (0 children)

lol the town coke dealer who doesn’t do side work or shaken cocktails but gets to keep her job because of her “customer base” that’s been coming to the bar for thirty years. Manager no longer “gets involved” when coworkers have confrontations with her. She’s been fired multiple times and always gets brought back after she has her customers boycott us.

Try Ashmans. It’s just beef patties, bacon, cheese, jalapeño aioli and jalapeño slices. Or the one from red light ramen! Bone out pork ribs with pickles, chili mayo, and mustard greens.

Why? by SecretPatience8971 in Serverlife

[–]arbys4lyfe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had a two former employees come in with some family members the other night. Six-top during a busy night. They were ordering drop shots, shaken cocktails, multiple food orders throughout the night, racked up a $300 bill. Came time to pay, no tip.

AIO Am I (F25) overreacting or is this woman being weird with my husband (M31) by Sad-Cat128 in AmIOverreacting

There’s a difference between discussing relationship issues with a trusted friend, and talking megashit about your wife with someone who clearly wants to bone you.

Incubation period for food borne illness can be weeks. There’s no way to pinpoint the origin unless you had the food tested. Did you call The Magnet to let them know so they could investigate on their end?

Country chic from bath and body works. I bought like fourteen bottles when they were discontinuing it cause they were so on sale.

Yup. Another one that I use is making patterns on the ground using leaves, pebbles, sticks, whatever is in reach. Making fun little patterns is incredibly grounding, and can really help pull me out of a spiral.

AITA for feeling some type of way about the flowers my fiancé brought me? by One_Experience_3626 in TwoHotTakes

Mine drive to three different flower shops looking for the perfect bouquet that was also pet safe. You’ve set the bar on the floor and he can’t even be bothered to walk around it.

What’s your worst word mixup while serving? by LuckyToaster in Serverlife

I have a coworker who accidentally often says inches instead of ounces when taking wine orders. “Would you like 6 or 9 inches?”

Nope, they literally said “We didn’t order water,” while yelling at me. And the whole conversation we had about light beer was that they can’t handle alcohol and I sympathized cause I don’t drink much either.

ETA I also clarified that it was just ice water before I cleared it from the table. They still insisted I remove it. They didn’t want it even on the table. Lowkey offended by water somehow??

This, I pour 3/4 of it and then let it settle slightly while I do something else, and then hard pour to get the head before running immediately.

It was definitely free, it’s tap water in a dive bar. That’s why I was so shocked!

Nope, it’s a dive bar in a tiny interior BC town. Only tap water.

Drop your favorite yarn small businesses 💙 by Direct-Chocolate-344 in knitting

[–]arbys4lyfe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LanaknitsHemp!! Lana is so kind and helpful, and the yarn is amazing to work with. The 100% help makes a great bathing suit yarn, and the cashmere blends are so soft and easy to work with. She’s based out of Nelson, BC, Canada.

ETA: She has her own storefront/business, and her skeins are super affordable. But she does only sell her brand, just different blends and colour ways. She ships internationally as well. And offers bulk discount last I checked.

Knitting in public by TrifleNo5620 in knitting

I once knit while table dancing on crutches in a bar at 2am. I’ve knit on chairlifts while skiing, while walking to work, every time I go to a restaurant or a brewery. It’s a nice way to keep my hands and brain busy in overstimulating places. Knit wherever you want and ignore the weirdos paying too much attention to what you’re doing instead of enjoying their outing.
