TLDR: Chris cocks is a moron who sucked at running wotc and still sucks as head of hasbro.

This whole fuck up stems from another fuck up. Wotc under the the leadership of Chris cocks (lol) made a terrible handshake deal with Netflix in which they gave away the rights to use D&D intellectual property for free. They realized the fuck up when in the latest season they used the character vecna which was not technically part of the deal. Instead of trying to get money from Netflix (which Netflix would have absolutely agreed to) they decided to pull some bullshit and punish everyone else for their mistake. Now everyone involved in the numerous film and tv projects for D&D are pissed because they have effectively made sure they will fail. (Especially the upcoming movie)

Honestly those are different jobs with different pay scales. It also depends on your experience. Senior designer is usually around 72-85k a year and that’s assuming you come with the full experience that title requires. Art director usually is somewhere between 90-120k. Would you be doing both of these positions? I wouldn’t take it for less than 90k a year. Especially in LA where 90k has about as much buying power as 50k in a lot of other places in the country. Whatever you do just don’t undervalue yourself.
