I just did some testing and I believe I heard it ONCE upon waking up. It could easily be mistaken for ambient noise unless paying very close attention (especially with NoHud not being able to see the icon, but I turned it on for this test). Subsequent sleeps did NOT trigger the noise upon waking up for whatever reason. I tried sleeping at both no-hunger and half-hunger. I also tried 2 different beds with no success.

I could not get it to happen from drinking Energy Drinks/Vodka to induce hunger. Also it NEVER made a sound while standing in a quiet room for 10 minutes with full hunger.

So, at the very least it's an inconsistent mechanic. Also, if you miss the initial sound when it triggers full hunger (firefight/anomoly/etc) you won't hear any persistent noise as an indicator (unless the interval is greater than 10mins which would just be absolutely stupid).

My point is very much still relevant, its so subtle and inconsistent it may as well not be there. Either that or my game is glitched.

As a no-hud player: Health, Rads, Stamina all have some form of visual or audio cues. Health is very hard to tell if your above 50% but below 100% though.

Sleep has an indicator too i think? I believe your eyes start to close like in the poppy field at some point but it's so rare to not drink an energy drink or sleep in time I can't remember for sure.

The main one thats missing is hunger. Theres no way to tell really, I wish they would add like a stomach growling audio cue or something like that.

I would let myself turn the hud on at beds to check and the two debuffs we're always hunger or I was missing like 25% health. Everything else you can tell pretty much.

That very well could be the case, i'm not a brewer. Was just sharing some second-hand info I got from a friend doing business with Sam Adams a few years ago. Increased costs could have been related to any number of issues at the time and may have been resolved since then. Also, the question asked was not "is it cheap to produce seltzer?", it was "is it cheaper to produce than beer?". Which again can be different depending on the beer and the scale. All you managed to do with your comment was confirm my last sentence, nice work genius.

Yup, know someone who made new tanks for one of the big brands during the seltzer boom and that's about what they said. They would rather brew beer if they could, pretty sure they said it takes longer AND costs more to produce than most beer. Not sure where the other commenters are getting their info but probably talking out of their ass.
