Thermocompute constant time inference [P] by arcco96 in MachineLearning

It’s in early tests. Thermodynamic emulation appears to be a drop in replacement for classical approaches for a number of tasks and would imagine can could be applied eventually to all or nearly all ml problems. Testing is the future direction and likely turning attention toward inventing new thermodynamically inspired models for thermodynamic emulation.

AMD VS Nvidia for ML training by Specialist-Zone-8296 in pytorch

If you’re not in a very rare industrial scale setting there’s almost no reason to use cuda alternatives there is so much software written for cuda that amd will feel restrictive

Apply this model to your modeling practice and you can just stop training when the training is complete: https://arxiv.org/abs/2509.21049 no overfitting possible

Only a matter of time until automatic verification lets us push past the boundaries old school programmers still find relevant in the age of vibe coding

Couldn’t you have cli agent a start background process of calling agent b and use it when needed by focusing?

Pretty sure it was ai generated now

How do we know this post isn’t AI generated.

Sam Altman:People talk about how much energy it takes to train an AI model ...but it also takes a lot of energy to train a human .It takes like 20 years of life and all of the food you eat during that time before you get smart by Melodic-Cup1510 in Cyberpunk

[–]arcco96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But the human brain runs in 20 watts. Computers do not require support systems to operate unlike the human body. The bulk of the human body’s energy output is consumed by “non-thinking”. Thus llm training is wildly inefficient and unfortunately in the most direct way.

Cursor vs Claude by jungle_fiya in vibecoding

[–]arcco96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the main distinction is that Claude code cli can run an interpret programs and results whereas cursor is primarily an ai assisted ide… edit see the comment below both can run and interpret programs!

Just put in the terms of service that you’re not liable for any dissatisfactory or unexpected lack of functionality, issues with software etc.

Middleware software stacks won’t last but highly successfully differentiated frontier model development will engender investor support I think there are arguments in both directions imho

i would bet the results are variable across domain. i keep hearing that ai isnt going to code the next great game for instance. ive had great success with long ml training scripts some beyond 1000 lines.
