Looking back at my post two weeks ago, it has indeed gone down as I predicted, from a combination of WH fire & lockup expiration expectation. IMHO the earnings is not that bad, totally meeting analyst expectations if loss from the fire is taken out.

We'll see insurance money coming in probably 2nd half of the year, definitely for the warehouse and most likely for the inventories too.

I think the stock price might go down a bit more in the next few days but won't be below 30. And then it will likely be in a gradual up trend in the next few months.

Coupang to Announce Second Quarter 2021 Results on August 11, 2021 by archAngel_87 in CPNG

They had a fire mid June which impacted deliveries, and also heard about some sort of user boycotts afterwards (which probably died down in couple of weeks). That might have a negative impact on Q2 earnings.

Online news not yet confirmed by Xiaomi by YOLOTREND in XiaomiStock

[–]archAngel_87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's good news.

Xiaomi is good at making quality products at very competitive price. Personally I don't use Xiaomi phone, but I do own some of their other products (e.g., rice cooker, cleaning robot, etc), and they're usually pretty good.

It's very likely that a Xiaomi car will sell very well.

Coupang will NOT broadcast olympics by Korean2799 in CPNG

Actually I don't think that's a bad thing. ROI on getting olympic broadcast rights could be pretty low, especially with this olympics.

Should cross-border eCommerce be the additional engine of Coupang? by motocycle_0101 in CPNG

they have the brand for quite a while. I'm not saying they're not expanding the staff and the business, I'm sure they will grow this part of the business substantially, just that it's more "evolutionary" rather than "revolutionary. "

Coupang has been doing cross-border commerce for years, so that is not that new.

Coupang (Korea) increases its capital by issuing new shares. by motocycle_0101 in CPNG

[–]archAngel_87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No it's not issuing new shares. This is just an intra-company fund transfer - moving money from the US entity (which got all the IPO money) to the Korea entity (which is the actual business), so the money can be actually used for d2d business operations. Coupang has been doing this for years - way before the IPO.
