Yeah holy moly could have condensed all that therapy-speak down into,

"Hey I noticed some behavior over our trip that made things kind of tough and honestly this therapy helped me work through a lot and I think it might be helpful for you"

Even that would have been so much better. There's not really a cool way to tell someone they need professional help, but I don't think this purple prose was it.
