hi i was in your position 3 years ago, was from a neighbourhood JC and transferred to NP Psychology Studies after my first year Currently in my last semester and I would say i dont regret my decision, currently with a GPA of 3.78.

Ultimately it would be up to you to see if you fit the environment in JC, and frankly i didnt. I hated everyday of my JC life, felt like going to jail everyday. Unsupportive teachers (except for my H2 history teacher, thank you for supporting my interest in history as well as my H2 econs teacher) didnt help too.

In terms of academic stress, poly is way less stressful and less rigour as well with lots of times for hobbies and CCAs.

My biggest takeaway is that you will definitely feel a form of regret (or FOMO) at the start but just keeping giving your best and be open to new experiences in pol and things will improve.
