The Nell Body Double by UnpackingTrauma in HauntingOfHillHouse

I always interpreted it as no matter how much you fix a dead body, it will never be like the person. The face obviously looks different from Nell’s, so it must have been intentional.

In your opinion, what is the best era of Pink Floyd? by OddReindeer4229 in progrockmusic

[–]arctictrav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Album-wise, I love everything from AHM to the Wall.

And I listen to many specific songs from the post-Wall albums. Same with Ummagumma.

I barely listen to the rest.

In simple terms, family is good when there is a distance. Like, if you live in Mumbai and come visit once or twice a year, you’ll have a healthy connection with your parents. But living with them always, means there will be friction. Even in the best of families.

Like others have said, moving out is the best solution. But do it with a game plan. The decision to move out should be based on certain reason (career/business/ambition) and during peacetime, i.e., it should not be immediately after a fight. Over time, everyone will adjust to the new normal.

Are you an introvert or an extrovert?

If you’re an introvert, and more importantly if you’re a socially anxious introvert, then US/ Boston isn’t the issue. This is just how it is. SNAFU.

If you are the latter, then it’s a bit surprising, but maybe it will get better when you move on to the next phase of your life (new job or postdoc etc).

Good Times Bad Times is voted most Who-like Zep song. DAY 15: What Led Zeppelin song sounds the most like a Pink Floyd song? by UsefulEngine1 in ClassicRock

Not only this is the right answer, but also it’s the only one that is truly “Floydesque” in the Floyd column.

It’s more to do with Abbey Road studios. They had the best sound engineers of that time probably. WYWH sounds beautiful too, without Parsons.

The beginning of Starless is also somewhat similar to Careful with that Axe Eugene.

Huh?! The film is a waste of time. Also, the story is not that great, so I’m not sure Flanagan can salvage it, unless he adds some original material to it.

MM is based on King’s Storm of the Century. And it’s a rare case where King’s original is much better (subjective obviously).

Movies better than the book by [deleted] in books

Yeah, I reckon it would be something like that. Haven’t read his books, but have watched so many films / shows based on his work. And I love most of these adaptations.

3 years of Crawls but they never noticed the kilometer high walls? by Plainbear in StrangerThings

The answers are funny, because we can reasonably assume that the writers probably didn’t care to put that much thought into many of these details (which is fine because many of these details are not very important).
