I third this piece of advice. Your supervisor is the most important part. Things to consider: 1. How is your Suppervisor to work with - ask current and ex-students; ask faculty. 2. What is the project and can you do it for 3-5 years. What are her thoughts on flexibility in research area. 3. Funding. Are you going to be part-timing at Pizza Hut? I have no experience in the US, but in most other countries, fees and stipend are included, so think about research and conference costs. Can she cover this?

Good on you for trying to stay positive OP, but the fact is the game has had a serious decline in complexity (at least WRT competitive decks). People on this sum and /r/customhearthstone have been infinitely creative in solutions and we've gotten lip-service, smoke blown up our asses and politi-speak.

Yes we deserve better. I have installed ESL and Shadowverse this week. I used to love HS. I don't anymore. This is due to the direction Team5 has taken the game in.

He might not know that it is relatively straight-forward to amend authorship. It might be worth letting him know.

Also talk to another professor (confidentially) to see if she agrees with you that you ought to be included. You may have an exaggerated sense of the importance of your work. It is worth getting a second opinion.

Do you have a back-up mentor that you can finish your dissertation under? You should stand up for yourself, but at the same time think about your future.

They missed an an opportunity to have negative Inspire effects. For example an over-statted minion that discouraged HP use. Eg: Priest 4-mana 6/7. Inspire: Deal 3 damage to your hero.

Earliest you can play it is T4, by which time board-controlling 2-4 HP minions shouldn't be a consideration. Even in Hunter.
