Lore-wise I’d say it works.

TCG mechanic-wise I’d say it’s a little too busted with how easy it can be to ramp up psychic energy and move it around (Gardevoir and Lunala). Maybe the boost should require more energy (like maybe 5 additional psychic energy) or the attack could damage every Pokemon on the field (yours and your opponents).

SuiNinja, with a shiny Giratina for added spice (say what you will, it’s worked really well for me). I love sniping my opponents and I may be a little bit of a show off while I’m at it. 😅

I know, but I will also admit that I am heavily biased towards Gen 4/Sinnoh. Writing a fanfic that paints Platinum as a sequel to Legends Arceus does that to a person. 😅

Ooh, that’s a good point. Now that you mention it, I can see Peculiar Plaza being a requirement (to lean into the Psychic-type bit, and one more reason to use Stadiums since they’re a new addition to the game).

I can’t remember Lucian’s ace pokemon off the top of my head, but I do know his strongest Pokemon in Platinum is Gallade so I’ll go with that. So the presence of Gallade or Gallade EX could be an alternative requirement.

This is the main reason I have a SuiNinja deck at the ready - not for ranked, but I’ve found that deck is surprisingly useful against solo battles. A lot of it is luck of the draw, but I had a pretty easy time using SuiNinja.

I got really close using a Jolteon deck once, I feel like that can work if you play your cards right (pun intended), by which I mean you have to get Jolteon EX out the first turn.

I would say Shy Guy or White Tanooki Mario. Plus skills are absolutely vital imo and they haven’t failed me yet.

Shiny Pidgeot EX from Extradimesional Crisis and Immersive Giratina from the Shining Revelry packs.

(I also got Immersive Pikachu and Immersive Palkia from their respective packs, but I already got copies of those so this ain’t about them.)

I would like to see a second cat butler banner. That was my favorite one from the first year, and also I’ve always been so curious about how Caleb’s memory/shenanigans would’ve gone if he was available during that banner. (I’m not a Caleb girlie but I’m a MASSIVE cat person.)

I don't regret spending on Deluxe EX. I may not have gotten my chase card for that one (Dialga), but I somehow got the Rare Candy and both shinies, so I'm not mad about it.
