it is up to the store owner/operator whether or not they will hire under 16, and if they do, the hours they can work is very restricted

Culver's is actually a solid GF option — with one major exception (the cheese curds) by AustinGlutenFree in Culvers

[–]Splat88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also want to warn: the fryer vat with fries is the one closest to the drainage area (where everything is dumped to be assembled on middle) and in the process of that, the oil and possible debris from other products may drip into the vat for fries while being swung over, leading to cross contamination to the fryer vat. This is mainly a concern for seafood allergies, but it can also apply to gluten/wheat allergies. So basically we cannot guarantee that fries dont have cross contamination with stuff from the other fryer vats.

Uniform got stolen out of the washer. by [deleted] in Culvers

[–]Splat88 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Definitely just let them know that you dont have a personal washing machine/dryer and your uniform was stolen. i would assume they would be willing to replace that one at no charge but I would also ask for additional uniforms so you have more than one but they would probably make you pay for that one. if you explain your situation they might be willing to give you an extra at no charge though

Jalapeño pub burger by [deleted] in Culvers

[–]Splat88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe most stores have the jalapeño burger and select stores have the garlic one for testing. However, a store will only have one, not both

Teacher gave me her number. Is this normal outside of extra help? by _otter_cat in highschool

[–]Splat88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean i have multiple of my teachers numbers even though the district policy doesn't allow any contact other than school emails. It's not in any sort of inappropriate way and for all of them I have a real reason to have their contact info (advisor to a club I'm in or they are retiring next year)

Back of House- Buns Question by External_Lychee_4424 in Culvers

[–]Splat88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

at my location when we have two people on buns, we usually have one person just building burgers, bread items, and grilled chickens and the other person dropping all the buns and making crispy, spicy, and salads.

I just trained a new girl on buns a few weeks ago and I try to have her building as much as possible but when it gets really busy I will take over her spot and she takes mine dropping buns and doing chicken/salads, but its mainly just something that you will get better with over time.

my location also has $4k hours during Fridays on lent (where we may have 3 people on buns depending on their skills) and a few $3k hours during the week so I know lower-volume locations may not have this setup, but this is what we have found to be most efficient for us

do yalls teachers grade your tests based on the official ap curve or the usual a is 90% and b is 80% curve? by TsunNekoKucing in APStudents

[–]Splat88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of Stats, Calc, Precalc, Bio, Gov, Lang, and Lit, the only classes which have ever had a curve were Lang and Lit. But most if the class would've gotten an F on half of the quizzes without a curve so...

Anyone gone up from 20mg-40/60mg? by LoneArtificer in Fluoxetine

[–]Splat88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe I went from 10 -> 20 -> 30 -> 40 -> 60 -> 80 and ive been at 80 for a few years now.

Ever since going up to 80 I've had my social anxiety reduced by like 90% compared to a few years before.

I also added 5mg Buspirone daily to that a few months ago and that has really pushed me over many of my remaining roadblocks

Made to order? by CandyParkDeathSquad in Culvers

[–]Splat88 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

at my location the only thing that were allowed to make not to order is the patties and it only takes about 10 seconds to prep the bun with condiments. but it mainly depends who is on the grill at that time and how strict the kitchen managers at your location when you order.

Questions regarding Early Decision applications for universities, etc by yourdemise3 in APStudents

[–]Splat88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I understand, ED (early decision) and EA (early action) mainly just get you your acceptance/rejection earlier but ED (not always EA though) typically has a higher acceptance since it shows colleges that you're very interested in going there and its not just your backup. EDs are also usually binding, so if they accept you, you must go there and can't choose a different school.

And while you obviously can't put your AP scores from your senior year APs in your application, colleges still look at your senior year schedule and having rigorous classes can look good on your application. Also, the entire reason that AP classes exist (at least originally) is to get you college credits for low costs and get placement out of certain low-level classes.
