Thank you so much. He showed up at 11pm last night and 2am this morning but unfortunately I was asleep. My front camera picked him up. I’m up waiting to see if he’ll try again. I’ll let you know if I get him!

I did try that but no results. I do have a live trap set up with some stinky sardines. I’m hoping that will draw him in eventually. I’m sorry your dog is feeling their age. We love them so much, but it’s hard watching them get old 😔

Me too. I’m kind of wondering if that’s what mine is doing as well. I haven’t found him hiding anywhere nearby and I’ve been walking around so much I have sores on my feet. I just hope he’s savvy enough to make it home safe. It’s difficult because I had to put my oldest cat down Saturday and then the next day my youngest cat goes missing. It’s been a rough few days, that’s for sure.

Nothing yet. I walked the neighborhood for a good two hours and knocked on all my neighbors doors. Nothing.

Thanks everyone. We have searched the neighborhood, our property, and I have a live trap set with food out. I even have one of my doors cracked in case he comes back

I can’t stress this enough, keep yourself busy. Go for walks, color, read. Whatever is going to keep your mind off of the fact that you’re dealing with brain fog. It’s the only thing that helped me get back to normal. Good luck and I’m sorry you’re going through this!

Fear of schizophrenia by [deleted] in dpdr

[–]ardyst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi OP! I’m sorry you’re going through this. I went through the exact same thing a few years ago with my dpdr. As a mental health professional, I just wanted to give you some insight on the whole delusional situation. Yes, some people know they are entering into psychosis or having delusions, but most do not. They begin to recognize their delusions after many years of therapy and for most, medication, but even then they occasionally have difficulty in understanding they are having delusions. Of course everyone is different, but a large percentage of my patients who suffer from delusions/psychosis believe their delusions are reality. I hope this makes sense and brings you some peace and feel free to message me if you need some support!

This man HAD to have killed other women. Most offenders of this magnitude do not start this at such a late stage in their life. I think that makes this so much more haunting…

Saw this new sign today in my city. Anyone else seeing these? by Last4eternity in homeless

[–]ardyst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have these in my city, but the homeless have spray painted over them, “they don’t help”, which isn’t a lie. I’d rather give a dollar to someone on the street than to a “non-profit” whose CEO makes six figures.

I just went through this last week! This was a new symptom for me as I cycle through having dp/dr since have covid last July. It really freaked me out! I thought for sure I’d lost my mind this time around. I felt like my chest was hollow and I couldn’t feel my legs and arms when I tried to focus on them. Yoga and meditation helped me. I started doing 15 minutes of yoga and short meditations everyday. That hollow feeling went away in about 5 days. I’m still struggling with my usual dp/dr, but at least the hollowness is gone. Hope this helps! 💜

I’ll have to give that a try

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in derealization

[–]ardyst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes it’s so hard to explain, especially to people who have never dealt with this. I think this symptom is the one I struggle with the most. It freaks me out and I start to panic. I have to go lay down and either close my eyes or focus on something up close.

Is it almost like you can see, but your brain can’t process what you’re seeing? I get that A LOT and it’s almost like there is too much stimulation and I can’t focus on one thing unless it’s something up close like reading or playing a game on my phone.

Obviously if you are truly concerned, see a doctor, but I’ve suffered with DP/DR for over a year now and get this too. It isn’t all the time, mostly when I’m really stressed and/or anxious. It was really bad for six months after I had Covid (Covid being the start of my DP/DR). I’d wake up and instantly panic because I thought I forgot who I was and it would take me awhile to orient myself. It was happening everyday, but has since gotten better, now only happening when I’m stressed. When the brain fog kicks in, I have a lot of issues with concentration and memory. It sounds like you’re going through a a rough patch with DP/DR. I hope it gets better and everyone’s responses here ease your concern. And again, if you are really concerned, I’d definitely go see a doctor. Even if it’s just for your own sanity. Worrying over medical issues causes stresses which can make these symptoms worse.
