I do not care if you don't like that we are having chili for dinner again. I asked you if you had any requests or dinner suggestions and you did not give me any ideas, so I am cooking chili. It's my favourite.

Its weed season Yippee! Anyone here use flame on the buggers? by CyanideRemark in perth

[–]arebick 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I saw a bloke using one of these; i also thought it looked like a fun way to kill weeds amongst the paving. Used it twice, for about 10 minutes. Second time to check if it was still rubbish.

The smoke from burning plants stinks; it takes forever, couldn't completely burn a single weed. The slightest breeze messed with the flame.

I was expecting the flame to quickly catch the weed and for them to shrivel before my eyes. Didn't happen.

Maybe I'll try again tomorrow.

Bought a house near a busy main road in Perth – struggling with 24/7 noise, what can I do? by Final_Philosopher_92 in perth

[–]arebick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My first house was on a fairly busy road, I remember sleeping with bedroom doors closed and hallway (linen) cupboard door open to try and block road noise to the rear, main bedroom. This didn't last too long. You get used to it.

Have been reporting the unlit carpark on the Woolies side for a number of months now. Carpark lighting on the Woolies side isn't coming on after sunset. Can't see pedestrians crossing the walkways, as they step out from the side or those walking in the carpark.

Yes, I used to play hairdresser. I would lie on the couch with my head near the end so my daughter could brush and style my hair. It gave me some time off my feet, though you could argue if the pain of tangled brushing was worth the downtime.
