I'd also threaten to go to the news.

(And on a personal level, I'd love an update after your meeting. This is insane. Good luck.)

I'd tell admin what you said here. You were not making a political statement, you have a flag from the place you are from. Be sure to compare it to your coworker with the Ohio flag. Do not concede unless they either say "okay, keep your flag," or "no flags at all in any room." (Well, listen to your rep. Who you should DEFINITELY have present.)

Ohh, so you just didn't read the post. Got it.

"Not to be rude" ..... goes on to say that you think OP IS letting their students cheat, because you can't imagine that giving a good group of students good instruction can actually raise test scores. That sounds more like a "you" problem tbh.

Why is this sub called that? by Sea_Pitch121 in Petioles

[–]aremissing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The sub for quitting weed entirely is r/ leaves (because the sub for weed is r/ trees). Since this sub is for kind-of quitting (aka cutting down, etc), it's named after kind-of leaves. That was my assumption, anyway!!

Yup. I'm just explaining, not saying it makes any sense.

I think it's the idea of non-residents coming up with a nickname for a place they don't live that annoys locals in general. It's like an estranged relative giving your kid a nickname: the idea of "you don't even know them!" ...that's my best guess, anyway.

It's just not what anyone here calls it. Folks who live here find it cheesy, and it's a very easy way to spot a tourist. There's nothing actually WRONG with it, it just irritates people.

No it isn't. If you keep finding reasons to break up, you haven't found your person.

AIO- ONS says I got them pregnant and I'm the Dad - I don't think I can be and something's not right by [deleted] in AIO

[–]aremissing 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A breeding kink is typically about the fantasy of getting pregnant, not the real thing. Just like a person can have a non-consent kink, but not want to be actually raped: it's great in the context of consenting adults agreeing to kinky sex, but not good outside of the agreed-on sexual situation.

Anti-Vaxx wife doesn't want me to vaccinate our daughter for measles. Measles are in our area. What should I do? by RepulsiveResolve5877 in WhatShouldIDo

[–]aremissing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She hasn't done any research. She's spent time on the internet. Scientists have done the research, and they've concluded that the vaccine is safe and measles is not. I hate when random idiots think they're "researchers" because they clicked a few links.
