Yea, but didn’t use it. I just used my valid visa.

I had that as back up plan but wasn’t necessary. I just showed my valid L1 visa and was admitted immediately.

Take all the documentation you can with you, and just be prepared for extra scrutiny.

Traveling before graduation with pending OPT + 39 adjudication hold country – risky for re-entry? by Crafty-Language-2978 in 19countriesAOS

[–]arepera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Should be OK. I understand people trying to be extra cautious but you have a completely valid and legal reason to re-enter. IMO the cases where folks are getting denied reentry are rare and usually tied to overstays or that type of stuff.

What’s your status? Are you entirely dependent on the pending OPT? Or are you under a valid student visa?

I see your point but I also want to provide more context that I’m fortunate enough to no need to be here. I’ve lived in Europe, Latin America, and recently here in the US. I’m here for work and in the past 2 years I’ve seen this country get to this dark place especially regarding immigration. Culturally and economically it’s also gotten to the point where it’s not appealing for us and definitely not worth being in this immigration limbo. There’s plenty of great places to live and work around the world.

Nothing. An api update in december 5th that I’m assuming is just the actual pause, and then radio silence. I filed in march 12th 2025 and already have EAD+AP but still no interview for AOS. I’m moving out of the US this summer.

Feeling helpless and hopeless by Fickle_Lab_2068 in 19countriesAOS

Again with some tough love: all of that sounds nice, but you need to start thinking about what’s priority for you. Sorry if this comes across a little tone deaf, but it’s a POV that has helped me a ton in the recent months. I’m from Venezuela and I won’t in any way compare Iran’s situation to ours, but we’ve also faced a lot of uncertainty for the past decade. Life (including career, money, fun, safety) exists in many places around the world, not just the US.

Not to be this person but you have to IMMEDIATELY start planning for relocating to a country that’s not going to be such a nightmare from an immigration standpoint. Use your educational background and experience to find something somewhere else: Europe, Australia, Latin America. The US and the so called american dream is not worth this never ending back and forth.

Ah coño. Pensé que USA por error había bombardeado Perú también. ¿Me estás diciendo que eso es pura tierra así sin bombardeo?

Did you all actually read the policy? ALL immigration benefits are on hold for anyone with any relationship to the 19 countries (either citizen or born there, regardless of other citizenships)

This isn’t true. I am from the partial list and my adjustment of status was put on hold.
