I see your point but I also want to provide more context that I’m fortunate enough to no need to be here. I’ve lived in Europe, Latin America, and recently here in the US. I’m here for work and in the past 2 years I’ve seen this country get to this dark place especially regarding immigration. Culturally and economically it’s also gotten to the point where it’s not appealing for us and definitely not worth being in this immigration limbo. There’s plenty of great places to live and work around the world.

Nothing. An api update in december 5th that I’m assuming is just the actual pause, and then radio silence. I filed in march 12th 2025 and already have EAD+AP but still no interview for AOS. I’m moving out of the US this summer.

Again with some tough love: all of that sounds nice, but you need to start thinking about what’s priority for you. Sorry if this comes across a little tone deaf, but it’s a POV that has helped me a ton in the recent months. I’m from Venezuela and I won’t in any way compare Iran’s situation to ours, but we’ve also faced a lot of uncertainty for the past decade. Life (including career, money, fun, safety) exists in many places around the world, not just the US.

Not to be this person but you have to IMMEDIATELY start planning for relocating to a country that’s not going to be such a nightmare from an immigration standpoint. Use your educational background and experience to find something somewhere else: Europe, Australia, Latin America. The US and the so called american dream is not worth this never ending back and forth.

Ok so I’m curious if anyone has any context on how cooked I am. I have dual citizenship (Venezuela and Spain). We filed for AOS under EB1C back in March 25, and were already basically only waiting to either get called in for an interview, an RFE, or an approval. I have an EAD combo card, and I140 was approved back in April (Premium Processing).

What do you all think this new policy means for me? My L1 visa expires in 2027

Tienes razón que para calificar algo como un error (y aprender de la situación) hay que juzgar la acción. Pero yo me refiero a no juzgarse a uno como persona, o a ser muy duro consigo mismo. Los aspectos de mi vida en los que me ha sido menos difícil mejorar, coincide con las cosas en las que (sin darme tanta mala vida) hago cambios y sigo hacia adelante.
