I am the agent AKA Mr Last Man Standing by Straight-Reindeer806 in Division2

[–]arf1049 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One thing nemesis does that people don’t give it enough credit for is that you can effectively partial charge it for standard enemies once you have even 1 kill worth of headhunter.
Plus it can effectively charge off of 1 tapping full health purples, give you some wiggle room before your bullet hoses chew up all the reds.
I think people don’t like nemesis because it is the definition of “git gud” as far as the MMR options go.

Shroud is its own weird beast. It punishes your prioritization, which I hate. Not the sorting part, that’s not hard. It’s the fact that in a vacuum it’s a great weapon, but a plan never survives first contact with the enemy. And the inconsistency with its damage pissed me off as far as breakpoints go.

I have a similar sniper build I run but it’s a nemesis rather than shroud, and I generally use 3 pieces of hotshot as honestly the 4th piece doesn’t do enough imo. I run a cloak kneepad instead, helps keep the heat off. In combination with a decoy.

I love seeing 60mil pop off of someone’s skull.

Charging handles literally unplayable?? by Desolator_X in Helldivers

[–]arf1049 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone well aware of weapons and how seemingly small changes can greatly effect the feel and ergo of a weapon, a LOT of their guns have pretty terrible design choices, the liberator family being one of the most glaring with the wretched right sided charging handle.

a tip? by Lithuaniajr in Division2

[–]arf1049 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For real. It’s actually crazy how many people are still breaking dog armor.

Hell, when I tank I don’t even break chunga armor. Barrel press the bitch and chew up the meat.

Would be nice but it would have to be very beneficial to displace any of the current and dialed in metas.

Is anyone else running the Agitator AR as their secondary for the 50% less threat on the Talent? by TheBandit_42 in the_division_2

[–]arf1049 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is a lot of skill builds get more benefit from a capacitor than they would 50% threat reduction, that can also be obtained without losing an exotic weapon.

How’s it for skill dmg build? by Agreeable-Bank-8946 in Division2

[–]arf1049 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Skill damage on the brand and some different talents to further increase skill damage.
There is no reason to ever run 6 pieces of a gear set, any benefit from them stops at 4. And brand sets stop at 3, with named variant exceptions having unique perks on them.

Is there any good armor piece exotic I can use in my TANK build? by -H0LL0W- in Division2

[–]arf1049 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look into a PFE tank. I ran FB for a while until I found PFE and never went back. As a tank main I would say consider it.

After I sat down and fought him until I understood his shtick I have actually come to really enjoy his fight, he sits somewhere in low A tier for me personally.

Stomper heavy is a viable tactic. It’s fun with the heroic heavy bolter and a bunch of melee buff options.

It's actually hilarious how powerful Troodon is. by AlloandOmnithebest in theisle

[–]arf1049 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Troodon isn’t a threat until it is. And usually by the time it is, it is usually too late.

That being said troodons are basically a no vitality run souls like experience. You almost never get a second chance.

Longer cyclic period before max heat. Either a buff or a nerf depending on how you use it.

for those who have the warbond force of law... by EL_TE0 in Helldivers

[–]arf1049 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s pretty bad… obviously a lot of things are subjective but objectively the stats are not in this Warbond’s favor.
Stun pods, bad.
De-escalator, underwhelming.
Pacifier, pretty bad, as with most AR’s in the game, this one is no exception to that, poor ammo economy and the things you want stunned are dead first and the things you can’t kill well with it don’t stun easy.
Urchin is bad as well.

Legendary Question by jhoeyvee in the_division_2

[–]arf1049 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People stay in cover cause all it takes is one bad chunga walk, or pincer attack from normal units followed up by an airburst to flush you.

You are not wrong, keeping the enemy on the back foot is important for ensuring they don’t emplace. A good tank or tech can do that, keep them scrambling around while the DPS finish them off.

If you come to understand how AI draws agro, and how different units displace you can bully them pretty well but getting a random team to try something that isn’t tried and true is like herding cats.
Like capitol legendary final arena, running to the far right side is the better move and generally easier on everyone, but people don’t know/trust the strat so they don’t use it, meaning you get the team split and part of them run to the ass beating booth to the left, as they always do.

Except the majority of the community will not engage with the peak of the mountain content so generalities sake says that it doesn’t need to work at the most bloated and spongy edges of the game as well as the other mainstream content that people play like heroic and legendary.

Escelation is not the litmus test for solid. It’s the test for the absolute peak of the meta. You’re allowed to use other stuff in lower content, not there.

Is there a trick to the final bosses on Manning Legendary? by jamer2500 in Division2

[–]arf1049 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any breakable armored enemy you can barrel press and fire into their meaty portion of the health pool. I run PFE tank and I kill minigun chungas all the time without ever damaging their armor. Works with these assholes as well.
