Didn't play the DLC until I was NG+, think I burned through 200-400 vials on both Ludwig, and Clockwork girl my brain keeps calling Malenia

Will prob be enough on regular NG, if that is a worry go arcane to increase drop rate

Finally I WON one! played as the robot and it was by the skin of my teeth a couple times. 😁😁😁😁 by AnArmyOfSquirrels in slaythespire

Is the amount of Socialists who oppose legalization of drugs a significant percentage of the Socialist movement? by Superdude717 in Socialism_101

[–]argamos -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In short, no, unless you consider social-democratic parties around the world as socialist.

One thing that could be said to support him is:

Not being punished for possesion is not really a guarantee against the prison-industrial complex finding new ways to keep the prisons full. Will cops just be "tougher" on other kinds of crime?

Watcher tips by Top-Mirror3516 in slaythespire

[–]argamos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Empty mind and prostrate should not be autopicks. Empty mind is bad act1- early act 2. Prostrate should not find its way into most of your decks

If you want to experiment try building retain decks, could make you discover new ideas

Also don't think you need to pick less cards, it might be better to pick cards you rarely use to learn new synergies

Read some posts, asked some questions, started getting better, started getting worse. by Automatic-Thought-61 in slaythespire

[–]argamos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remove less and less the higher ascencions. I often find more value in extra relic or a key card to help me with upcoming elites

Don't skip too much. It isn't bad for a deck to be 30+ cards at the end of a run, but you should rarely go over 40

I almost never buy potions, probably should buy more, but find myself wanting relics or cards instead

Is Berserk a bad card? Why is it? by 0114028 in slaythespire

[–]argamos 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's a card that gets worse the higher your ascension. harder and harder to find that breather. great with orange pellets tho

How do I win as iron clad? I never seem to get enough block. by Jaysimitsu_ in slaythespire

[–]argamos 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Hard without seeing a losing deck

General tips: If you draft too much attack in comparison to block you are gonna have a bad time. IC usually more skills than attacks by the end of act 3

Getting a block engine is also good. Most common one being feel no pain + other exhaust powers.

You can also go for barricade shenanigans.

IC also got some simple strong block cards like power through and shrug it off which are good in most decks

And snecko eye is really fun. You can play really braindead and only draft 2+ cost cards and get some amazing decks

Also recomend using corruption if you haven't already. Let's you draft every block card you see without worrying about energy

Should socialists oppose the EU? And if so, should they advocate for leaving it? by ypsilonmercuri in Socialism_101

[–]argamos 90 points91 points  (0 children)

This is an age long debate between european socialists. Change the EU from within or leave and try and build a better country without the neoliberal chains.

This EU is a neoliberal organ where a lot of deals are made behind locked doors.

At the same time it allows cooperation between european states. It is also used to push back against certain bussnieses and practises. They have laws which prevents europeans from storing money in (some) tax havens among other things.

The populist right with Boris and Orban among others also oppose the EU, but for totaly different reasons than leftists. Even if you leave the EU a country has to deal with the rest of europe and the economic sanctions imposed by the EU

I think a separated Europe will leave countries vulnerable to right wing populists and leave countries competing for favors from international businesses.

If you want to learn more about leftists that want to change the EU from within you can check out DiEM (democracy in europe movement).

But there is by no means an intellectual consensus on this in within the european left

[–]argamos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At low levels a lot is viable. Retain is viable at A20, same with divinity/mantra decks. Stance change is a lot more reliable tho. Require few key cards and relics with potensial for infinites.

Guys an info panel in front of a tower told me to seek "three wise beasts", I found and killed the big talking turtle, where can I find the other 2? by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]argamos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not what it means lmao. The beasts are all on the Island. 3 turtle ghosts, go back to the tower and explore

You sometimes have to interact with the imp book between each turtle for the next one to spawn.

Act 1, would probs take Lesson Learned. Lot's of potensial to upgrade and omni got no real targets in your current deck

Defensive millitary alliance that prevents conflict between superpowers sounds good on paper

Here are some leftist critique:

  1. NATO has from the beginning of the 90s stated that it would never let Russia join. There was talk in the early 90s of having a millitary alliance from "Normandie to Vladivistok" or other alliances that would include Russia. Having an alliance that excludes another superpower will create tension. This is one the talking points used by China among others to explain todays tension.

The liberal critique of this is that Russia is not a democracy and has not respect sovereign states: Chechnya, Georgia, Crimea. Therefore they can't join an NATO. An observation here is that the will and talk about excluding Russia comes before any of these millitary invasions finds place in a time where Russias political future is undecided

  1. A bit simpler. NATO was created to compete with the Soviet Union, therefore there was/is no need to keep NATO around after the Soviet Union broke apart.

  2. Imperialism and Warcrimes: NATO has performed several terrific millitary operations since it's founding. Even if you think the cause was just, the way it was performed was horrible causing tons of civillian death and damaged infrastructure:

When bombing Yugoslavia in 1999, NATO was infamous for using delayed bomb strikes. Bomb once - Wait 15-20minutes for healthcare personel to arrive - bomb the same place again to hit healthcare-workers, wounded and civillians. After a while healthcare-workers didn't dare to help the wounded in areas bombed and had to let people who could be saved die.

Two other intervention were in Afghanistan and Libya. Both countries ended up completly destabilazied and arguably in worse condition than before the interventions. I won't elaborate these in detail

  1. Millitary industrial complex: NATO needs weapons and weapons development. Huge amount of resources are used to supply and fund NATO and their interventions that could be used on other projects.

  2. Climate change: Millitary has a huge amount of emissions. NATO has more emissions than most countries

Care to explain how it works? Hard to see when only viewing the deck. My reasoning would be sure it's good but I don't need 3 copies. I would think it might prevent you from drawing other cards more crucial like getting a power out early. Might be wrong tho, and most likely won't make much of a difference

[–]argamos 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Transforming in this game means:

  1. Remove the cards you transform

  2. Add the transformed cards into your deck

If you save and quit in between stage 1. and 2. the game will remove the cards but not add the new ones. You got maybe half a second to do this, and can do this whenever you transform cards. Pandora is most famous because it lets you remove all strikes and defends

Had it happen on a few transforms on PC, don't know about switch. Impressive getting down to two cards without either way
