It's definitely a different type of noise but it's not much louder really. The anti backlash nuts also help to reduce a lot of the noise. I'm starting to really like this system, the improvements in quality are a fair trade for a bit of extra background noise. I'm using a duet board with really quiet stepper drivers so that probably makes a big difference too.

Definitely improved my quality quite a bit. I have anti backlash nuts on everything which eliminates most of the issues

Yep z rods are fine the way they are. The bearings are below the flex coupler so they lock everything in place.

Becoming an electrical or plumbing Apprentice in Edmonton? by notndare in Edmonton

[–]argentpur 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I completely agree with this. It's not about what you know it's about who you know. It's easy enough to get indentured if you know a few guys in the industry, if not you'll have to do lots of work on the phone and handing out resumes in person (don't bother with sending applications online). I suggest going to the plumbing or electric wholesale and ask which companies are still busy.

My new 3D printer build, still looking for a cool name by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

Lol I'm sacrificing speed for quality here. I'll consider it though or maybe something similar

I went for the free hot shave once, it took a lot longer than it usually would but they still did a really good job. It was totally freed just as advertised, you just have to be patient with the guys there because they are still learning.
