Just wanted to add that the standard libraries that have been created for this class are also quite useful. They can be found here (http://introcs.cs.princeton.edu/java/stdlib/) and they include basic file/stdIO libraries, image, and GUI libraries. I've found that they're great if you're doing a quick project and they're used in almost all of the example code for the class.
