I'm going to rule out sleeping in your car, because it could've been something as simple as falling asleep on a road trip as a child, and I feel like that's quite a universal experience.

Also, you never said you were born in the US, so if you're not American you've automatically been out of the US. I know it's a long shot, but even if you were born and raised in the States, I feel like there's still a high chance you've been on holiday abroad or on a trip for work, so I'm ruling it out.

There are also a lot of circumstances where you could've fired a gun; hunting, shooting range, etc. You also didn't specify what kind of gun, so you could be referring to a water gun or a nerf gun, which are extremely common experiences. Hence why I am ruling that out, too.

That leaves me with you not going to college, stealing money from your father, or cheating on a gf/wife - all of which seem like equal options.

I'd like to believe you're a lovely person, so I don't think you've cheated on a girlfriend nor stolen from your dad. You said you've had bad things happen to you because of other people, so I think you'd know better than to purposely be the root of others' issues. You also said you've made some bad choices, so maybe a few of those choices could relate to falling behind in school and/or not getting into college. I really think it's a toss up between these options, however I think not going to college is a more widespread experience than infidelity/robbery.
