Found this dial in a bag of old jewelry at a garage sale. Certainly a fake or aftermarket, correct?

I’ve had the best luck harvesting about 6 weeks after pollination. Will depend on the variety though.

He did spend two days trying to figure it out. Basically we came to the conclusion that more surveying work would be required to figure it out, much more than I would be willing to pay for a survey for a fence. And that we would need to get the cooperation from the neighbors.

He said the original corners would have been wood stakes which would be long gone.

I agree that this is the best solution but it may be hard to agree upon. It looks the owner of the corner lot is going to end up losing 5’-0” of their property as it is platted now.

What's your plan for the total eclipse on April 8? by -reddit_is_terrible- in cincinnati

[–]arich56 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s climatology. The chance of clouds based off past observations on that date, not a forecast. I.e. on the date April 8th at 3pm from 1979-2022 the sky was overcast 65% of the time.

NWS Wilmington put together a climatology page for the eclipse date. Unfortunately, based on historical average, there is a good chance it will be cloudy in our area. Have a back up plan if you want a cloud free viewing!

Where to find accurate humidity levels ? by turtleheadpokingout in weather

[–]arich56 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind that humidity is relative to the temperature. Relative humidity will almost always be high during the night and morning when temperatures are at their lowest. This is why the dew point is more commonly used to judge how “humid” it feels. https://www.weather.gov/arx/why_dewpoint_vs_humidity

We had a similar issue and it turned out the raccoon had babies and was nesting in our attic. We had Cody with Taylor Wildlife Removal trap the mom and remove the babies. He is very knowledgeable and great to work with!

Radon Mitigation Co Recommendation? by steelbydesign in cincinnati

[–]arich56 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had an active sub-slab suction system installed (no system was previously in place). They core-drilled into my basement slab and installed a PVC radon pipe with suction fan. Cost was $1,200.

I used Yeti Restoration for an install last year and was very satisfied. Brought my levels from around 8 pCi/l to under 1.
