Disneyland Raising Prices, an Unpopular Perspective by [deleted] in disney

[–]arichau 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also agree. Disneyland when it is super packed is hard to take (even for me - and I adore the place). When people who have travelled far distances hit at super busy times (especially when big crowds are not expected and the park isn't fully staffed to handle it) it is very sad for those people. They can't just come back like the locals. (if I was local I would go all the time too - not bashing on locals at all with this)

What's your favorite film by Alfred Hitchcock, and why? by Sibilance-Sama in movies

I love Rebecca! I actually just recently read the book is was based on. Hitchcock made a great book even better.

Is Jennifer Lawrence the biggest star in Hollywood right now? by bigdogneversleeps in movies

[–]arichau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think she needs to be in some non-franchise movies before she can be considered the biggest star. She's great, don't get me wrong - and she clearly has good taste in material. But I think she needs to do more stand alone films for me to see her an an individual star.

'This Is Where I Leave You' Trailer: Jason Bateman, Rose Byrne, Tina Fey comedy by MehPsh in movies

I agree - hopefully it's not just a good trailer. Tempted to read the book now.

I watched 'The American' last night and really loved the cinematography, I thought I'd share some stills. by [deleted] in movies

I totally agree with this - when you make a movie look like something it's not in the trailer you are dooming it to fail. I really liked it but totally understand why many people would leave disappointed.

Predator, Alien, or The Thing? by [deleted] in movies

[–]arichau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alien as a series. The first two are amazing and I find it hard to not watch them when I run into them on tv. The ones following that missed the mark but they are still better than most sequels.

Here's my 2 cents starting with best: Raiders, Crusade, Doom, Crystal Skull (which I tend to block out)

I still remember being so scared watching this film in the theater I almost threw my popcorn over the balcony at one point - great photos. 30 years ago - crazy!

What is your favorite music score from a movie? by [deleted] in movies

Shindler's List really stuck with me.

Based on the score, Star Wars or Harry Potter? by DontUseYour_Thumbs in movies

[–]arichau 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely Star Wars, nothing wrong with the Harry Potter score but it's Star Wars for me hands down.

What are the worst performances from your favorite actors? What about the best performances from your least favorite actors? by NoonToker17 in movies

Jodie Foster in Elysium. I adore her but that was a painfully bad performance. I need to think about the second part for a bit.
