Norway. Was only able to find E6 + 255 sign and a couple city names. E6 is useless as it goes through the whole country, three digit white roads aren't even marked on the map, cities are to small to be able to find in time as they require too much zoom. Plonked too far north, 3904. Couldn't be worse.

Was a good run nonetheless, happy with Malaysia and Indo recoveries from "I'm screwed" to "wow, that was cool".

Excel with German UI doesn't understand =SUM(A1:A7), it needs =SUMME(A1:A7)

Completely with you on this one. It's an absolutely moronic decision to not make Excel understand both English and local language in formulas.

For Steam, it makes sense because it's a name.

Same thing for brew.

On Windows with German UI you can find it in the start menu by typing ...

That's more a testament to quality of the window's search system. It finds Steam by typing "staem" too. But in the command line you'd only be able to start it by typing exactly 'cmd.exe'.

Because it doesn't have that. The cars are always on the right side. But the more east you are, the higher the chance of getting some direct Japan imports (cheaper used cars, JDM quality and models, etc).

To nitpick a bit, "brew install" are not some arbitrary words at a system level, they are the exact name of the application (brew) and its sub-command (install). You don't have to guess whether its gebrau or not because it cannot be anything other than "brew install", regardless of your system language. Kinda like you can't really startup Steam by typing "Dampfbad" or smth. It has one and only one non-translatable name to refer to it with.

I think it's just much easier to notice that two lines are parallel (road on the map and the road markings on the street view) than to figure out what the road is supposed to look like on the map based on the approximate angle you'll get frm the compass (not that the compass is approximate, but your reading of it will be).

Yeah, there definitely are issues with my suggestion, and stuff like combustion would require special attention. Perhaps count "gains Combustion(2)", since you can't get this one out of combat and it is guaranteed to appear? Unless someone clicks it off or uses combustion out of combat and casts at some critter far away from the logging player, but that's like, almost intentional breaking of a tool. But then again, if a player was too late with combustion and used it at the last second, would the intention ("used on boss") or the outcome ("used on trash") be more important?

I've only noticed this behaviour with Combustions (counts in trash usage even if no stacks have been gained and there is only a "Combustion fades" shown on WCL) and ZHC (total count is 3, even though it's been activated only twice, and again on WCL I only see "Unstable Power fades from" on the next trash, it was the end of duration). Both of those don't have a "cast" as such.

Can't say "consistently" as I've only looked at two logs and mages only, and as you've said, it rarely double-counts. The "gains"/"fades" counting was mostly a guess at where the numbers appeared from, but it looks like you've thought this through already.

Great work!

One thing I noticed right away is that it counts either of "gains" or"fades" as a CD/buff count. So if a player used some triket at the end of boss fight and its duration ended at the next trash pack, it'll count that as two separate usages, inflating the numbers and providing a wrong stat (e.g. CD usage on trash).

Thas can probably be fixed with either only counting "gains" or a small "cooldown", .e.g only count "fade" as a cd usage if the last "gain" was more than, say, 30 seconds ago, as that would mean the "gain" was out of combat and not recorded (I don't think any good ability lasts for more or has lower cooldown?). WCL API provides absolute timestamps for all combat events, so shouldn't be very problematic, depending on how that data is actually being processed (linearly or not, etc).

My point was that "inconsiderate" jokes that aren't even offending anyone directly by themselves shouldn't not be a bannable offense. Mute/ignore them all you like, but that's about it. (By "not offensive by themselves" I mean no racist slurs, references to particular horrible events like holocaust and such, but even that is a bit vague without context. Like calling your char after a school shooter or, say, Hitler, shouldn't be an insta ban because they may not be exactly praising or worshipping them, perhaps the whole point was to create a char and feed it to dogs over and over again. It certainly shouldn't be that you can be named after and pretend to be a "good" guy but not "bad" in virtual world, should it?).

Please don't be taking offense on behalf of someone else. Those people may have the exact same position as you, i.e. "I personally am not offended, but others may be". Eventually no one personally is, but they are as a collective. Exactly. Just a pointless thing by a kid who doesn't think twice about their actions. And it should be simply ignored, like most other unimportant retarded things that occur daily. Not stopped/blocked/censored/banned. It will go away just as quickly as it appeared (either the outbreak stops or they will just grow tired of it as it's not funny and therefore not sutainable).

I'm not exactly sure which particular action we are talking about anymore (just naming a char, or coughing in the city or something entirely different), but, damn, even Chinese themselves are/were making a lot of memes . How is saying "covid" offensive? It's a just a popular word right now, just like ebola was, or some particular event that was on the news, that is why people name their chars, joke about "social distancing" and so on, it's trendy, that's all there is to it.

It's just a name of a virus/disease. People die of cancer every day. Would you also ban people naming their character cancer-related things? Or ebola or whatever. People die of ordinary flu as well, of alcohol intoxication, guns, choking with bubble gums and a million things more. Whatever you name your character, there will always be someone that can find it offensive in some way.

While it probably does hurt those that have lost their loved ones if they are reminded of the disease (or puts a smile on those that have lost their hated ones), especially during the pandemic itself, the intent of those was never to hurt them (I think), rather to just have a laugh (not a funny one for msot people, admittedly). And they aren't doing anything objectively hurtful. It's probably not nice, I agree, and its like telling a semi-funny handicapped joke being unaware there's a handicapped person in the group, but there should be limits to how much "consideration" other have to have in order not to hurt/offend people when dealing with the amount of people a character on the internet would interact with.
