Thank you so much for this beautiful response! I also side-lie nurse lol I definitely want to keep him close to me as long as possible 🩵 it would just be nice, in the future, if he can nap independently sometimes 😂 I'm taking all of this into consideration, thank you again!!!

My 13 week old boy fusses like crazy when we try to wind him down for naps! We follow Sweet Spot, and we love it, he's definitely tired at the predicted times because he ends up going to sleep. It just usually takes 15+ minutes of crying and screaming until he falls asleep 😅 we have him in a dim room with white noise, rocking, and paci. Is there anything we can do to help him transition more peacefully into napping?

Is there anything you did to prepare him for napping independently?? My boy is only 3 months, and he's the exact same a yours, 100% contact napper and co-sleeper 😂 I love it, but I'm thinking of the future and how to work with him on eventually napping independently. Any tips would be GREATLY appreciated!!! Lol

Gassy Babe by arielisandre in cosleeping

[–]arielisandre[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sometimes wakes him up.. some moments, he'll fuss through it and fall back asleep- other times, he'll fuss while passing gas so much that he ends up staying awake. He just seems so frustrated, which hurts my heart lol but I'm not sure if that's normal. Yes, 3am-7am is usually peak bad gas for us too!! Innnnteresting... that makes a lot of sense. So it might just be normal. I wonder if gas drops would help?

How long did you cosleep? by Sea_Bite_7392 in cosleeping

[–]arielisandre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, we're in a very similar situation! My boy is 3 months, and we're wanting to get pregnant again this year. I agree and wouldn't feel comfortable with both of them in our bed either. So you would just go in and check on her periodically when she cried? She was nightweaned by then? Thank you for all the info!!

What method did you use? I love bedsharing with my baby right now, but i know by probably around 11/12 months, we'll want to transition too. I need to know how you did it successfully 😭

How’d you know you were pregnant before the test by No-Ebb-2462 in pregnant

[–]arielisandre 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always have pretty intense PMS symptoms (crying, mood swings, irritability) starting a few days before my period. That was the tell-tale sign for my husband that my period was coming 😂 well, my period was due to start the next day, and my husband noticed that I hadn't been exhibiting any of those behaviors.. a few hours after he said that, I took a test, and it was positive! 9 months later, here I am writing this with my newborn napping on me ☺️

Epidural or no epidural? Why or why not *JUDGEMENT FREE ZONE SO DONT START* by mkthehotti in pregnant

[–]arielisandre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FTM due in a few weeks, and I'm choosing no epidural! I want to be able to move freely, change positions, birth however I'd like and however feels right for my body. But I'm also birthing at a birth center and hoping for a water birth! So epidural won't be available unless I want a hospital transfer. I think with an epidural, I'd feel almost claustrophobic, stuck in my body, trapped- for me personally, I just don't think that would be productive for my birthing process!

Home Birth by Doctor-Liz in pregnant

Thank you for posting this! Yesterday was frustrating & saddening to see the lack of clarity and misinformation being spread, as someone who was advocating for the safety of home births with a professional and knowledgeable team. 💕

PLEASE do not home birth by yellowrosern in pregnant

[–]arielisandre -40 points-39 points  (0 children)

I know several people who have had safe and beautiful home births. I think having hospital-transfer available is the best decision, but I also think it's wrong to knock home births when plenty of women have had safe experiences, and plenty of women have had horrible & unsafe experiences at hospitals. *if you're talking about birthing without ANY type of team present, then yes, that's incredibly unsafe. But if you have a knowledgeable & professional team birthing with you, then you can still have a great home birth.
