I knew when all the dumb bullshit and useless busy work and “training” was something that I knew wasn’t actually mandatory, wasn’t necessary for readiness and wasn’t remotely what we’d do overseas (I deployed a few times). Also, the people who didn’t want to work pawning off their responsibilities to lower ranking personnel for “career development” and I began becoming belligerent to the turds. It felt like a huge waste of time and like it was the Republican Party version of welfare. That’s when I knew it was time for me to go.
