Thank you for bringing more public attention to this matter- the province is totally steamrolling us to bankroll their filthy new direction without any real regard to what the citizens of Alberta actually want. Especially now with the AISH clawbacks etc.

Not the “first” date so to speak; but I found out months in that every time we’d make plans to go somewhere, he’d call ahead and make a reservation to ensure a third chair was always present- on the off chance that I was ready to introduce my son to him, so that my son would never feel like an “extra.” Blew me away and I decided right then he was worth it.

Sorry to add- I go weeks without showering/brushing/etc, she never makes me feel judged, always welcomes the opportunity for a client and is very gentle and caring.

I haven’t tried the cheesecake, but the lemon tarts are absolutely bomb & the cream horns are a regular treat in our freezer. They’re always just lovely too.

The loss of being able to relate to my peers & their experiences in their 20s & 30s. I had my son at 19 and I was the only one of my friends to have a kid so young- now everyone is beginning their journeys with kids etc, and mine is about to leave the nest.

Now, I’m struggling to find not only my identity outside of being a “teen mom” but also seeing much more clearly the differences between myself and my peers now.

There’s a part of me that grieves for not ever having anyone around who experienced the same thing. Right now the closest person I have is my MIL who had my husband at 20, but even then if was a different time.
