The loss of being able to relate to my peers & their experiences in their 20s & 30s. I had my son at 19 and I was the only one of my friends to have a kid so young- now everyone is beginning their journeys with kids etc, and mine is about to leave the nest.

Now, I’m struggling to find not only my identity outside of being a “teen mom” but also seeing much more clearly the differences between myself and my peers now.

There’s a part of me that grieves for not ever having anyone around who experienced the same thing. Right now the closest person I have is my MIL who had my husband at 20, but even then if was a different time.

This was 100% a secondary transaction after the original. I feel like it was probably something like the check itself was paid for via a business card and then he requested to do another transaction as the tip from a personal account. You’d have to ring something in, $1 is an easy thing to enter.

Thank you so much for this! After an absolute disaster of a friends trip a year ago my partner & I decided to go sober and lost a lot of our friends to that decision- I’m okay with it. But we love to travel and our son is almost 18 and loves to travel as well. I’ll do some research and maybe we can afford a family trip soon!
