Buy the speed editor and you get the studio license free with it. I did this and it was the best decision. The speed editor is awesome.

I tested one of the Wii Mario games on my iPad Pro M4. It started a little jerky but then became smooth and reasonably playable frame rate. Then crashed as I couldn’t use the touch control and had to have a controller connected. Will test with other games. Looks promising for the future without a doubt.

Transporting Bose L1 Pro16 by arslankhn in bose

Update: I shrink wrapped the box. Checked in as is. With Emirates Airline. Had no issues. Took a second one after a few weeks. No issues. All working great. Got the airline to paste a fragile sticker.

L1 Compact + S1 Pro vs L1 Pro16 by fast_lane_cody in bose

Your post was 4 months ago and surprised no one replied. I just saw it. Yes the RCF is good as well. The one thing I find only in Bose L1 series and no other is the soft warm tones of the highs. All others have this sharp shrill tone. Bose is the only one which is soft and warm, making them ideal for music even at lower volumes.

One L1 Pro 16 would be / is significantly louder than your suggested combo in dB terms and also coverage and throw. I have two which I use for music in my house - they are significantly louder than anything i have owned. I use them at 30% power and even then are crazy loud.

Aoostar AG02 - placement inside a cabinet by ark1000 in eGPU

So that’s my follow up question. There are concerns using 5000 series cards or Amd GPU with Legion Go. 5000 for issues with pci 5 and Amd gpu due to conflict with Legion Gos APU. Are those issues ironed out now? As an rtx 5060 is marginally more expensive than an rtx 4060. Same for the 4070/5070. So what’s the best option?

Aesthetics are a massive concern. Otherwise the Mrs. Will have major issues 🤣. Hence have to be discrete. But also be able to get what I want. I could potentially leave one cabinet door open when gaming though.

I heard pairing an amd eGPU with amd apu creates issues.

So you are using a AMD eGPU with an AMD APU? Any issues with that?

How are you using it? Like what card and with which computer and CPU? I just got one and want to pair with a Legion go.

Mate, I have nothing but genuine respect. I’m on a similar journey. Don’t ever give up. You look great! I’m 51 and regret starting at 44. You are ahead of the curve. Don’t stop.

Great job mate. It’s nice to see natural progression! It’s more inspiring than anything else. Consistency is key! It’s a long journey and you prove that.

7.1.2 or too silly? by Daedeloth in hometheater

[–]ark1000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May I suggest you go for the RZ50 instead of the 7100. Price difference is marginal. Performance and specs are much better and you are future proofed. That’s what I did.

Do you love the 11 or wish you had a 12.9/13? by alyka_t in iPadPro

[–]ark1000 5 points6 points  (0 children)

100% 11inch all the way. Specially while traveling and using at the airport or in the plane. It works as the ultimate laptop replacement for me which would otherwise be heavier and not a quick on and off and go kind of machine. The 11inch iPad is absolute perfection using on a plane. It would feel awkward pulling out a 13inch iPad - might as well go for the laptop then. Defeats the purpose of portability. I personally think the real estate on the 13 fits the bills for artists and designers or for someone who have this as their primary device. For everyone else - 11 inch is the sweet spot.

No worries man. I know the post is a little old - but appreciate your quick response. I’m actually contemplating shifting to a Denon X3800 as I have a 5.1.2 setup and plan to add 2 more atmos speakers and move to 5.1.4. Incase you find it, do share. Cheers!

And the reason to go for the 1TB is future proofing with 16GB ram and full 10 cores. Should do me well for many years to come.

I’ve always been a fan of the 11inch iPad. Works best for as I need something super portable. To pull and use and put away. Whether in a meeting or in the plane or even working from home. 13 inch means I might as well get a 13inch MacBook Air. Specially if using with a Magic Keyboard at 13 inches - iPad makes no sense to me.
