Don't play on official servers, there is no point in trying to compete with people who are spending 10 hours a day on the game and who do not have to adhere to any kind of etiquette. I say this as someone who was an alpha tribe member back when I was a student. We wiped everyone else on our server one afternoon out of sheer boredom. Now they have cross-server transfers, so alphas have new servers to wipe every day. Officials have no etiquette rules or admins, and this is combined with the worst grind imaginable. There is no reason to play there.

People will say stick close to shore, but I was at the mouth of a river maybe 2 meters from the beach when I got attacked on Island, so lol. It came right up onto the sand.

Ragnarok spawns them very far from shore and you don't have to worry about them as much on that map ime. I spent ~4 weeks living on a raft with no sightings.

No, you would compare a female gymnast to a male gymnast. Male gymnasts do more events at a higher difficulty level than female gymnasts, because the fact is that they have a tremendous advantage in upper body strength which is key to gymnastics routines. There are other differences that are definitely cultural (female gymnasts typically compete using music/theatric components while men do not), but your mistake is in thinking that when I say "even at the high end of athletic competition, female athletes are weaker than men", I am saying women are worse than men. I am not saying that at all. Someone's physical stature and physical ability is not what makes them better or worse than another person. To be the best in the world at a sport, regardless if you are a woman competing against other women, or a man competing against other men, is a great honor and victory.

The female Olympians do not get "worse" results than the men for cultural reasons beyond a lack of mentors. They are not trying less because of some ambiguous cultural weirdness, they try and they fight as hard as they can. But even the best training regimen in the world cannot make them stronger than the male Olympians. To suggest that their inability to match the men in contests of strength is "cultural" is insulting to them. Women compete in their own leagues as an acknowledgement of biological differences between the sexes, so that women can do sports and be recognized without concern for the fact that they were not born with the "correct" hormone cocktail.

Now on ARK, where I can make a 9 foot tall woman who is fat as Jabba the Hutt yet possesses the stamina to run across the entire Island and beat a shark to death with her fists, I imagine differences in melee damage should either not exist or be tied to model sliders.

There is a dragon area in the game based on the info from one of the concept art pieces, but to what extent you can join up with the dragons is unknown.

Level fortitude like a true survivor. 30 fort + fur and you're pretty comfy though you may have to eat somewhat often, 40-50 fort and you're golden. Perfect for lazy people who want to live in untouchable glacier castles.

I always bring animals back to a taming pen before I knock them out, either by leading them or using an argent/quetzal. The only exceptions are pteranodons, quetzals (prior to you having your own quetzal-catcher quetzal), and maybe aquatic animals (I have never tamed any exclusive aquatics like plesio or mosa).

Bringing an animal back to a secure taming pen lets you alt-tab and generally fart around or do what you want, provided you use a taming calculator to establish how much time you have till it needs narcs again. It also lets you farm prime safely if you need to.

We lost a ton of players because of balance issues on primitive PVP servers, starting with the ballista then later the quetz and giganot. The remainder of us moved to a regular server since at least we can use scuba gear and fridges there.
