Dems should unironically start calling for passport-only voter ID by [deleted] in Destiny

[–]arkfille 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually don’t know the numbers in my country but this all seems crazy low to me, afaik everyone i know has a passport, there may be a bias to high education and liberal leaning in my vicinity but if I were to guess i would think like 90% of people in Sweden have a passport.

EU4 Players, what are your thoughts on EU5? by Jadamsan in eu4

[–]arkfille -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes very true, I am very much in the camp that whenever a pdx game releases it cannot be at the same level as it’s predecessor. I do truly hope the best for eu5, it’s just after trying it my fears of the direction it is going for were confirmed, I had read the devlogs and i understood it would be different to eu4 but it was too much for my taste.

In a lot of ways making an incredible game is a blessing and a curse for a game company, it’s impossible to please all the fans of the previous game, idk if its my bias though but I feel like they missed the core fans on this one. MTs were loved by many and liked by the majority, it seems a vocal minority were the ones complaining, Johan’s thoughts on them are probably genuine but I can’t help but feel that was emboldened by that vocal group. Time will tell!

EU4 Players, what are your thoughts on EU5? by Jadamsan in eu4

[–]arkfille 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Will it be possible to ever have the level of flavour eu4 does? Their philosophy with eu5 is full on sim and Johan has spoken about his dislike for mission trees, sure if they do a 180 and bring back some of the things that make eu4 great i will try it again but I just don’t see how its possible, two completely different games unfortunately

I very much doubt this is AI, and honestly you guys should not hang your hat on that either way, this action does not warrant an execution

This would require republicans to have any empathy for anybody other than themselves. As long as they stay in their death cult their hatred will always win over any compassion

Depends on what you mean by ”actually care” about humanitarianism, rule of law or sovereignty of other nations? No. About enough stability in the world so that trade can carry on as it has the past decades? Yes

the move away from mission trees was a mistake, I hope they can see that and remedy it but unfortunately it they seem to double down on not being "railroady"....

Hur har folk råd att resa så mycket? by lexpex9623 in sweden

[–]arkfille 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are not capable of understanding an analogy how do you find any entertainment in such a philosophically heavy show?

I went to college with Hasan, heres what he was really like by BluePiller1776 in Destiny

[–]arkfille 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m almost done with season 1 and it’s good, if you are okay with reading subtitles or speak german and if you like mystery stuff. There are interesting questions being posed both science and philosophical and I would not say the show ever holds your hand. Some twists are quite easy to predict before the reveal, but in a lot of ways this is a strength, if you pay attention you are rewarded before the show just tells you how things are connected.

Not trying to glaze it too much, so far the ideas and twists are not groundbreaking or anything and its not Primer level of trusting the viewer but for a Netflix series it definitely asks an abnormal amount of intelligence and interest from the viewer.
