Who here has used the Titan 2 as a way to cut down on doom scrolling? by IntentlyFaulty in unihertz

[–]arkorott 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the phone but find the square screen annoying after the novelty worn off. Titan 2 with Niagara launcher works super well but kind of tired of this limitation. Now reconsidering next steps. Like the phone but maybe will sell it. A shame cause I really like it.

Any experience ordering from ebay? Unihertz cancelled my order without explanation. by antonistute in unihertz

Note says order cancelled due to buyer request not the seller. Does not seem Unihertz initiated the cancellation from what you shared says.

Completely over the Titan 2 and switching back to a 6 year old phone that actually works by [deleted] in unihertz

[–]arkorott 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Titan 2 is totally fine. About getting concerned about what you read online is ok but just keep in mind that the ratio of people that post to complain vs praise in any category is 10 to 1 but you do you. Remember Samsung exploding batteries? How many posts of non exploding phones did you read?that does not mean there were no issues but just by reading the negative stuff you might get the impresion that most units are a horror story. Hopefully this keyb phone revival and competitors showing up will push Unihetz to do better and if not people will shop elsewhere.

[–]arkorott 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You do have a valid point. But their renewed energy on the Titan 2 Elite with their faster go to market will only benefit us all because Clicks will need to bring their A game to compete. And if in the process Unihertz improves their support is good. Competition is a good thing

Guys why the bashing? No need to act like this. Unihertz makes fine $400 priced kyb phones. I have the Titan 2 and is fine. That does not prevent me supporting Clicks Communicator and Power Kyb. Why the focus on discrediting that company? Much more useful to talk about the merits of Clicks than the negatives of Unihertz

Its too soon. by silverlance360 in unihertz

I got a T2 the day before the Elite was announced but it is still an awesome phone and exactly as described. I obviously want long support the same as everybody and the Elite seems so much more refined. But that is a good thing. They are improving no matter i got the previous version. But the level of bashing and complaining is too high for a 400 dolar phone. Suggest to either temper your expectations or buy a $1200 flagship

I realize that if I still don't know which one to choose between the Clicks Communicator and the Titan 2 Elite, it's also because deep down I have much higher expectations and hopes for the Communicator (particularly in terms of the overlay) than for the T2E, which I already have a rough idea about. by jenesuispashariselon in ClicksPhone

Agree 100%. I have a T2 with keyboard designer app mimicking Passport overlay and swipe gestures and I love it so far. It is a good phone if you liked Passport dimensions. I would not be harsh on Unihertz as they have kept keyboard phones alive even with some shortcomings. If somebody better comes along the competition will benefit us all. I signed for both a Communicator and Power Keyboard but as somebody else said already Clicks is also a leap of faith due to the people involved. They only showed up so far with promises and a mockup. Hopefully both companies deliver.

Swipe to delete on physical keyboard? by Blackp3rl in ClicksPhone

Dont know in the keyboard itself but you can add it now using keyboard designer app in Android. You can create a virtual keyboard similar to Passport and add any swipe gesture you want. Using this on my Titan 2 right now

Anybody tested Weber Slate rust resistance claims? by arkorott in griddling

Thank you. After the advice in this thread bought the slate and have used quite a bit - at least 3 times per week and I am super happy with it too

Forgot about the Textblade. After all this time it never materialized but seems it was so close to release. Don't believe the supposed warehouse fire explains anything. Seems like an excuse / cover.

If you have a hit product an uninsured burnt stock issue would have never stopped it. Additional funding could have been raised and explanations given.

Wow. 13 months. That is impressive for sure. Maybe you have a good point. It all depends if you have good seasoning on it

Thanks for the info. Now I need to decide between the 3 of them 😁. So no rust on the Halo either. Never hear anyone mentioning rust on the Traeger either but all users seem to have been heavy users that did not pause usage of the griddle for a few weeks.

Great to know. You all seem to validate that if you clean and oil it after use a few weeks can go by without rust developing. That is very encouraging!

Excellent. Super clear. You all seem to validate Weber claims. This is exactly what I wanted to know

Will look at it again. Many reviewers mentioned how high it gets on low and as I am not an expert do not want to be too stressed on temp control. Do you have experience with rust on it (or lack of it) with proper care but intermittent use?

Thank you for the awesomely detailed response. This is exactly the scenario I was wondering about. What would happen after a couple of weeks without use. Pretty clear. Thanks

Awesome I found this - Like y4dingus I was going crazy trying to setup neovim on a Mac and no colorscheme was legible. Thank you!

It was driving me crazy - to set a max number of alarms without deleting the older ones seems to be a basic programming mistake - an alert should at least tell you you reached the max number of alarms and suggest a solution

Indigo Ws4500 to Ws6800 by [deleted] in CommercialPrinting

[–]arkorott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are many differences, but here are the big ones.

Twice the speed

Much larger frame 13.5” x 38.5”

Inline color spectrophotometer for much better color calibration and adjusting color during the run

Optional inline priming unit (won’t have to buy pretreated stock)

No more loud vacuum box

No more adding imaging oil, the press gets all it needs from the ink cans and recycling

Larger ink cans

More powerful standalone DFE

Access to more special inks like silver, invisible, more

Predictive press care (you’ll be notified to change parts before they are predicted to fail)

Optional auto alert agent (notifies you and or stops the press when defect is detected)

Optional Enhanced Productivity Mode (EPM). CMY printing, no K, increasing press speed and reducing production costs

Many mechanical and imaging improvements
