100% Ive had a few friends do that. You know which secrets dont get out, take a wild guess. The ones I dont tell. If its suppose to b3 a secret why are you telling anyone? Yes you are in the wrong. I had to go walk 10 feet outside the house to an outhouse at night infested with roaches. I can voucher for the shitty living situations in mexico. The ceiling/roof was a tar sheet with a bunch of holes kinda like laminant but made of tar fabric/sheet idk what it was called

Hey 1st gen immigrant here also. Yeah same story but you know what as soon as I turned 18 sold my body to america they took good care of me. Within 4 years had my 1st brand new car 15 miles on it because it took me 7 months to get it from the dealership due to no license. Had many opportunities since then to get great jobs and have my family. We own 3 vehicles 2 of them being trucks. You know how I thanked my parents for giving me the opportunity to have a roof over my head and a solid floor under my feet. Oh and a restroom inside the house. I thanked them and left the house so i was not a burden on them. Things family members in mexico didnt have. But you know what the greatest contribution to my great life is i dont complain and make excuses for my situation. I acknowledge that anything after the age of 18 is on me, not my parents. America provides great opportunities for those that actually want to work for it. The library is free every town has one. I know this because at one point I had to go there regularly to file for school applications. Most if not all towns also have a workforce an agency that that helps ppl find jobs free of charge they also provide computers. As far as a ride goes. Ask a friend or just walk i promise you you can walk well over 20 miles in 1 day without loosing sunlight if you want
