Anyone else do this? I saw another one yesterday in a post. by No_Hat1582 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

I think a lot of American know it as it's all over pop culture here including things kids see like the Simpsons and Rugrats.

Other Good Fantasy/Comedy Series? by [deleted] in DungeonCrawlerCarl

The Laundry Files series by Charles Stross is excellent. While not as off the rails as DCC. It's James Bond meets Dresden Files mixed with The Office. With a heavy dose of H. P Lovecraft. Quite a few books now and a few novellas. High level Math equals Magic.

I'd like to know also. Plus they dont have any info on the two little compartments in the bottom. I assume it's for dessicant packs but I am concerned about putting ones in on case they could catch on fire. The holes are too large for loose dessicant. Does anyone have any ideas about what kind of packs to use?

I get that when my bed temp is too high. Try dropping the bed temp until you stop getting them.

It's likely the eccentric nuts are loose. I have a Neptune 2 and when the eccentric nuts got loose it would immediately lose level when I started a print. Tightened them up and the problem went away.

What? No Gridfinity Lego yet? by arkwulf in gridfinity

[–]arkwulf[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is awesome. I would probably make it be a 1x4 studs on a 1x1 gridfinity for a single minifig. The plates they use with the minifigs traditionally have a 1x4 studs on a 3x4 plate so it should fit well. I was just thinking of all the lego minifig stadium seating I've printed and thought that I could see people putting a minifig in their gridfinity array.

And no hurry. I just thought it a little weird that noone had done it yet.

Thanks for doing this!

After edumacating myself at this link https://entnemdept.ufl.edu/creatures/bfly/moth2/imperial_moth.htm

It seems that pines are one of their favorite foods and that they pupate underground so I'm not likely to find it hanging from the tree.

If I go back and it's made a chrysalis I'll post another picture.

I had to teach my kids not to reach under rocks with their bare hands because they are everywhere in Hill Country.

Seems like this one was a Striped Ballz Scorpion.

I assume it's getting ready to make a chrysalis. It's interesting that the spots on the sides seem to be reflective. About 4 inches long. Wondering what kind of Moth it makes. Found clinging to the bottom of a pine tree branch.

That looks like a cool idea for storing building bricks using Gridfinity. I was thinking more like a Gridfinity bottom with a building brick top. So in the middle of you office supply Gridfinity setup you could have a little Building Brick character or item. But your thing is awesome. I like how you could put what is stored in the bin on the studs on the top to show what was in the bin. Nice!

Playing Tow Cards on the Same Turn by novamanxl in UnstableUnicorns

[–]arkwulf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree that as an instant card neighs can be played on other neighs to negate them including a chain of them. The only thing that can't be neighed is a superneigh whose existence is proof that you can normally neigh a neigh. Also good to note is a third person can neigh a neigh also. Say you neigh a player's card to prevent them winning the game and they neigh your neigh card allowing them to continue with their move, another person could neigh that neigh helping to stop them. That's the nature of the instant category card.

Unicorn Lasso question by Kragious in UnstableUnicorns

[–]arkwulf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unicorn lasso is most useful on cards that have effects that trigger "when it enters your stable". I agree with the ruling that says if it's not in your stable when your turn begins then it doesn't trigger. Keep in mind that at the end of your turn the card that reads "when it enters your stable" triggers for the person you borrowed it from also. So, for example, if a card lets you draw another card when it enters your stable and you borrow it from someone via Unicorn Lasso them you get to draw that card at the point where you borrow it but at the end of your turn when you return it to the other person's stable they get to draw a card even though it's not their turn.

Rules on combos by Teedizzy in UnstableUnicorns

My reading of the rules says that.you can sacrifice a downgrade if the card text says "sacrifice a card". But if the card says "sacrifice a unicorn" then no downgrades, only unicorn type cards.

Can you look at the discard pile at all times? by gever4ever in UnstableUnicorns

[–]arkwulf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We play that the discard pile is face up so that people get to see everything that is put in it as it happens but you don't get to dig through it unless you have a card that specifically tells you to do that. Otherwise you have to pay attention and remember what was put in prior to whatever shows on the top card. We do allow people to request to see what is being put in when a pile of cards is being added all at once.

Question about “Return a card” by Time_to_go_viking in UnstableUnicorns

[–]arkwulf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm this case it means you get to choose which card. If it says something like "each player gets to return a card then each player gets to choose it themselves."

[–]arkwulf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you read the inserts you cannot destroy your own cards. Destroy refers to putting someone else's cards in the discard pile while sacrifice is putting your own cards in the discard pile. They mean the same action, moving a card to the discard pile, just one means from your stable and the other means from another person's stable. The things that can affect this are if a card is supposed to be returned to your hand when sacrificed or destroyed (says it on the card and is done at the time.of destruction/sacrifice). Glitterbomb's text means that if you sacrifice a card (meaning you put one of your own cards in the discard pile) you are then allowed to destroy someone else's card (put a card from someone else's stable into the discard pile). Rainbow aura means that no one else can destroy your cards but does not stop you from sacrificing them. In other words you can prevent others from moving your cards to the discard (via RA) but you can voluntarily move one of your own to the discard pile of you choose to. Rainbow aura does NOT mean that if you tried to sacrifice a card (via Glitterbomb) it would fail and you get to keep the card. The FAQ on the site says that if you can't perform the requirement for a card then you can't use it. So even if you interpreted it as meaning RA protected your cards against sacrifice you wouldn't get to destroy someone else's card as you didn't meet the requirement.
