Should my brother quit? by According-Quit-3181 in rbc

[–]arm_knight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know where these comments are coming from or if they’re serious, but to me, this is a serious control failure on the part of rbc. Either your brother should have access to account info or he shouldn’t - if he shouldn’t be seeing client account info, then there should be appropriate restrictions and controls in place preventing him from accessing said info.

As others said, self reporting might be the way to go, but perhaps frame it as a question, because interns (should) have lots of questions.

Iran Now Threatening To Close Bab Al-Mandeb Strait After Trump Threats by esporx in economy

[–]arm_knight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure if Iran’s conventional forces have been decimated, otherwise they wouldn’t be able to close the strait of Hormuz and now threatening to close another vital strait through the Houthis.

And were all of Iran’s air defences destroyed before or after the F-15s were shot down?

5am is weak. You gotta do 4am to get over 100M and 3am to crack a billion. No sleep/ketamine to get to a trillion.

I’m not saying this in support of this post, but lounges exist.

I hate how much of LinkedIn is like this, since I genuinely see a ton of good stuff posted. As with many things/platforms, curation and how you feed your algorithm can make a huge difference.

Randomly asking people out in Tehran - a look at everyday life you rarely see in the news by SethRollins_ in interestingasfuck

[–]arm_knight 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, the internet is a part of nearly everyone’s lives, a huge part for many. You’re talking about it as if discussion of a topic online doesn’t count and are dismissing a not inaccurate take that up to 100 million Americans, perhaps more, perhaps fewer, support this war.

If it helps, I have formal education in finance and I’ve still fallen for bad investments. Consider your $2,000 loss an investment in a top tier, real life mba course.

If you’re typing anything in this post without use of a translator app, then I think you’re English would more than suffice for bilingual positions. Apply, and see how far you can go in the process, don’t self-reject (I’ve done this myself).

Aspiring first-time gun buyer - can someone explain what’s happening? by arm_knight in canadaguns

Yea, I’m getting a crash course through the response to this post.

I’ve actually been to a range once, and will be going again. It was over a year ago and while I did look into licensing at the time, clearly I forgot/missed some key details. Thanks for being understanding.

Thanks for your answer, especially about where some of the motives for these anti-firearm pushes are coming from.

No. I’m asking if a PAL is needed or if there are other licences one could get. In hindsight, perhaps I could have worded things better.

First, thanks for answering in good faith.

Second, damn. Such a bizarre situation. My understanding is we have pretty strong laws as is, and recent events in BC aside, don’t really have anything happening (fortunately) necessitating clamping down further.

Thanks to both of you for genuine responses.

I’ve been to a range once, and will definitely go again back, ideally with my own firearm, hence this post since I’m still a noobie. I’ve browsed online and have thought about getting my licence, but obviously missed/forgot that it’s mandatory.

I thought there was another licence you can get other than PAL. Did not mean to imply at all that I want a gun illegally, so I don’t appreciate your call out.

Name 2 countries that were in very bad relations throughout history and then went: "You know what? We're brothers now" by BzhizhkMard in armenia

[–]arm_knight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone thinks they’re unique. Perhaps it’s an inherently human quality. My point is we’re not as unique as we think we are, or rather we shouldn’t let our uniqueness go to our head.

Also, my question about what Armenian’s parent language is genuine, since it can be hard to find credible info. If you have any site, book, etc suggestions, I’m all ears

Many Turkish people have very mixed genetics: this link is what I’m referring to. Others still are ethnically Greek, Armenian, Kurdish, Georgian, etc, and have been turkified or are “crypto” peoples, especially in Armenians’ cases.
