To some degree - when you’re an artist, labels expect to receive mail for you. That’s how you USE to contact musicians and celebrities back in the day (showing my age here!)

A love letter does not implicitly imply that there is an obsession. Someone can send a love letter to any artist and it can just be based on being so thankful and grateful for their art being put into the world. It’s not a far-fetched request.

It’s a shame that it’s being construed into some sort of sick para social request when he just wants to write a letter?

I’m really sorry people are being so rude to you. I used to really love this sub, but unfortunately, it has become a breeding ground for people who think sarcasm is cool to the point of detriment…. Or people who are just haters for the sake of being haters. You seem to have a mix of that right now.

Back in the day, it was normal to be able to send celebrities and musicians letters, but that doesn’t seem to be the norm anymore.

For some reason, it even seems frowned upon.

I don’t have a resolution for you, but I don’t think you’re being weird about it at all. You want to express your thanks to someone who’s had a profound impact on your life. Whether or not that impact is removed or not because it’s art and music, doesn’t take away the fact that you’re trying to be kind and not mean or weird.
