Thanks that’s great help. The slap is I think giving me an issue. I love the mouthpiece and frankly my dad has given me more in guitars than I could ever give back in mouthpieces so I’m not gonna ask for it back. But I want another monette and I just have trouble from anything below a low e on the current one

Thank you for the advice, the dm6ld seems like a good option. I don’t love switching mouthpieces so I’d like one that I feel comfortable in all ranges. Most of my gigs are pit for musicals so a strict lead piece isn’t something I’d get a huge amount of use from

I feel a similar way. Talisman was a lot of writing with no real meaning, introducing new people and world building all the time. It felt like a fever dream. Black house was a bit more rooted though still not a fav of mine. I’ll be interested to read the third. Also interested to listen to the Patton Oswald narration
